CAITLIN CLARK has suffered a new injury on top of her groin problem.
The Indiana Fever star has missed several games this season through injury.

And she has now picked up an ankle injury to add to her woes.
Clark, 23, was already sidelined with a groin problem that has kept her out since mid-July.
The Fever have emphasized that Clark would still be missing from action without the ankle tweak.
A Fever spokesperson said: “There was no timeline or projected return to play so it’s impossible to say if it was impacted.
“So it remains the same: to give Caitlin as much time needed to ensure she comes back fully healthy, which every day she is working hard to do.”
Clark has experience with ankle injuries but she wears it like a badge of honour.
She rolled her ankle in a game against the Connecticut Sun in May 2024 and later turned the same ankle in a game against the Atlanta Dream.
She said on that occasion: “Every basketball player has an ankle injury. If you don’t, you’re not a true baller. It’ll be stiff, but I’ll be good.”
Clark has missed 22 games with head coach Stephanie White saying: “Until she can get into practice and you guys see her in practice, it’s really status quo.”
Despite Clark’s setback, the popularity of the WNBA continues to increase.
Even with a month of the season left, it has smashed its total regular-season attendance record.
A total of 2.43million fans have watches games in person this year — up from 2.35m last year and easily beating the record of 2.36m from 2002.
Unsurprisingly, Clark’s Fever have attracted the most fans with 300,000 in attendance at their 18 home games.
Meanwhile, the WNBA has also reached a record-high regular season ratings on ABC.
An average of 1.43m viewers watched the 12 games on offer this season.
That’s an increase of 13 per cent on the 1.26 who tuned in last term.
