The Fever lost 80-61 to the Golden State Valkyries on Wednesday afternoon.

On the same day, the 25-year-old Hull posted a statement on Instagram.

She announced the death of her 14-year-old dog, Maggie.

“14 years with the sweetest mags! home won’t be the same without you! heaven got the best girl this week,” Hull wrote.

The 2022 first-round pick also shared multiple black-and-white photos of her late canine.

One picture showed Maggie snuggled up next to a young Hull.

Another snap displayed the dog and Lexie soaking up the sun near the water.

And a third showed Maggie wearing glasses while lying on the couch.

WNBA fans sent messages to Hull in the comments.

“Hugs to you!” one wrote.

“My condolences dear lady, that is so very sad to hear. But you have a loving partner watching over you in heaven,” another commented.

Some of Hull’s teammates even shared their support for Hull.

“Love you [heart emoji] doggie heaven,” Clark wrote.

Sophie Cunningham replied, “noooo Lex, I’m sorry.”

“I’m sorry, sexy lexi,” Kelsey Mitchell commented.

Hull’s announcement comes after a recent rough stretch for the Fever.

They’ve won just one of their past three games.

The Fever did win the Commissioner’s Cup last week, but the in-season competition doesn’t count as a regular-season game.

Indiana has the superstar Clark back from injury, as they have four games left until the All-Star break.
