AN earthquake has rattled parts of California and residents said they were woken up by the tremor.
The 4.3 magnitude quake was reported early on Monday morning.

Tremors were felt across California, including in San Francisco, according to the US Geological Survey.
The quake struck in Berkeley and had a depth of around 4.8 miles.
It caused the Shake Alert system to be activated.
No reports of injuries or damage have been reported.
But, locals took to X to reveal they felt the quake’s impacts.
“An earthquake just hit about 20 ish minutes ago and I was mid-sleep,” one user claimed.
“Knocked out of my bed, hit the floor. Gotta love Mondays.”
“That fckn earthquake woke me up and I can’t go back to sleep,” another complained.
Scores of residents have fumed they are unable to go back to sleep as a result.
