The bout has been billed as the ‘fight of the century’, with Mexican icon Canelo defending his WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF super-middleweight titles against undefeated four-division world champ Crawford.
‘Bud’ currently holds the WBA super-welterweight strap, but he will be jumping up TWO weight classes for the highly anticipated clash – having already spent most of his career at welterweight.
The American hasn’t fought since August 2024, when he beat Israil Madrimov, while Canelo has had two world title defenses in that time.

Two of boxing’s GOATs will meet in the ring as they fight for pound-for-pound supremacy and the super-middleweight crown.
Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez and Terence Crawford have been fixtures in the top of the rankings for years and are considered among the best to ever do it.
Unbeaten Crawford, who beat Israil Madrimov to win the light-middleweight title last time out, hasn’t fought for a year.
He is jumping up two weight divisions to meet Canelo, having spent most of his career weighing in even lighter.
Mexican favourite Canelo has scored title defences over Edgar Berlanga and William Scull since Crawford was last inside a ring.

Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford fight purse
According to reports, the fight is worth $200million.
Canelo is said to be taking home an incredible $150million, with Crawford earning $50m.
Boxing power broker Turki Alalshikh has signed Canelo to a three-fight deal and during the question he was asked if the Mexican would be guaranteed $100m.
Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Enterntainment Authority, said: “No you get the number wrong.
“More than that.”
There were no further details put forward.
When is Canelo vs Crawford and how can I watch it?
- The big fight takes place on Saturday, September 13.
- It will be held at the Allegiant Stadium – the 71,000-seat home of the Las Vegas Raiders.
- The prelims are set to begin at 5.30pm ET (10.30pm BST).
- The main card then starts at 9pm ET (2am BST on Sunday in the UK).
- Ring-walks for the big fight are expected at around 11pm ET (4am BST)
- The fight will be live streamed on Netflix.
