THE Carolina Panthers have fired a member of their communications department over a controversial post following the murder of Charlie Kirk.
The conservative activist was assassinated on Wednesday afternoon while speaking at the Utah Valley University.

The 31-year-old was shot in the neck in front of a young crowd at the college campus.
He was rushed to hospital where he passed from his injuries.
And the Panthers released a statement on Thursday announcing action against a staff member.
According to reports, Charlie Rock, who worked for the NFL team, has been fired.
He allegedly posted on Instagram “why are yall sad?” following Kirk’s murder.
This sparked social media outrage, with thousands making the franchise aware of his posts.
“The views expressed by our employees are their own and do not represent those of the Carolina Panthers,” the fanchise said on X.
“We do not condone violence of any kind.
“We are taking this matter very seriously and have accordingly addressed it with the individual.”
