As she enjoys a break from either the recording studio or the set of American Idol, Carrie, 42, has been feeding her family with homegrown vegetables.

She has proudly shown off her squash, pickles, tomatoes, and the fact that she picked eight gallons of blueberries.

However, the media personality probably didn’t anticipate swarms of angry bees, which took over the grounds of her farm.

She posted a video where thousands of bees invaded the orchard on her farm where she attempted to grow fresh produce.

Accompanying the video that was posted on her Instagram story, she wrote: “Had to get out of the orchard when the bees started swarming…”

It turns out, the creatures created a giant nest within the grounds of her ranch.

Posting an additional image, she showed a swarm of bees on their huge nest in one of the food bushes.

She wrote: “They landed on a blueberry bush … maybe we can catch them tomorrow if they’re still there…”

This comes after the country music singer down in tears in an emotional video talking about her time on American Idol.

She first won the fourth instalment of the talent competition back in 2005 before returning as a judge for the 23rd season.

The show’s official account shared the video clip on its Instagram grid page.

The caption read: “What a blessed journey for #carrieunderwood, and it started with one #americanidol audition!”

In the clip, Carrie explained: “I think my journey on American Idol all the time, because it’s so grand, it’s so unbelievable.”

Choking back the tears, she continued: “To go from somebody who was going to school, trying to figure out what she wanted to do with the rest of her life.”

Carrie Underwood’s Family

The American Idol winner had relationships with Chace Crawford and Tony Romo but she ultimately walked down the aisle with Mike Fisher.

Mike is a Canadian retired hockey player from Peterborough, Ontario.

In October 1999, Fisher made his NHL debut with the Ottawa Senators.

He played for the Senators until he was traded to the Nashville Predators.

One of the reasons he agreed to the trade was so he could be close to his wife Carrie.

On December 20, 2009, Carrie and her former hockey captain hubby announced their engagement.

On July 10, 2010, Carrie Underwood and Mike tied the knot after almost two years of dating.

More than 250 people were in attendance at their wedding ceremony at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge in Greensboro, Georgia.

Carrie’s engagement ring from Mike features a yellow diamond and was valued at $150K.

In February 2015, the couple welcomed their first child; a son named Isaiah.

In January 2019, the singer and the pro athlete expanded their family further with the birth of their second son Jacob.

This was before she said how her appearance on the show was decided it was on a “whim,” before reiterating how her time on the show was “insane”.

Carrie added: “If I hadn’t made that one decision in my life, my life would be completely different.

“So it’s just a blessed journey I’ve been on.”
