Cops order full ‘lock down’ in 911 audio from Mark Sanchez stabbing as ex-NFL star is arrested in hospital

THE 911 audio from the violent altercation that led to the stabbing of ex-NFL player Mark Sanchez has been released.

The 38-year-old was hospitalised with critical stab wounds on Saturday morning but is in a stable condition following the altercation between himself and a man in downtown Indianapolis.

Cops arrested Sanchez in the hospital for battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle, and public intoxication.

The other person involved in the incident was treated for lacerations, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said.

He told officers he was acting in self-defense when Sanchez was stabbed.

Now, the 911 dispatch call to officers responding to the incident has been obtained by TMZ.

In the early morning audio, officers were instructed to have the Loughmiller’s Pub & Eatery “locked down” and treated like a crime scene.

The actual incident took place in a nearby alley when an argument allegedly broke out between the two men over a parking space.

In the audio, officers search for surveillance cameras in a hunt for evidence and can be heard asking the bar to be “locked down”.

“Treat it as a crime scene, we don’t want anybody in or out for now,” one officer says.

This shutdown was extended to the alley with one officer saying, “they have good cameras of this alley”.

In the audio, officers can be heard confirming that one person had been stabbed and that they needed an extra medic and squad car.

The second man involved in the altercation is 69-years-old and sustained “significant injuries”, Fox News affiliate WXIN reported, citing police sources.

According to the source, the pair got into an argument over the man’s decision to park his grease disposal truck near the alley, blocking it off.

They added that the ex-NFL star was behaving bizarrely before the stabbing by doing sprints in the area.

Sanchez has not yet commented on what took place.

The former Jets quarterback who played in the NFL for a decade has not yet been booked into jail as he remains in hospital.

He was in town to analyse Sunday’s game between the Colts and Raiders for Fox Sports.

“Mark Sanchez was injured in Indianapolis on Saturday and is currently recovering in the hospital in stable condition,” the outlet said.

“We are deeply grateful to the medical team for their exceptional care and support.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark, and we ask that everyone please respect his and his family’s privacy during this time.”

He has been replaced for the broadcast of the game by analyst Brady Quinn, Fox has confirmed.

Lewis’ head collided into the brick wall past Oklahoma’s end zone while attempting to catch a touchdown pass.

The ball was overthrown and that caused the wide receiver to run into the wall at full speed in his bid to catch it.

The wall lis placed relatively close to the gridiron where the action takes place.

Lewis was on the ground for several minutes until he was finally carted off.

While being stretchered off, almost the entire Oklahoma roster surrounded him in support.

According to Sooner Sports Network, Lewis’ X-rays came back negative.

The same source claims the player was awake and walking around in the locker room at half-time.

However, the exact severity of his injuries still remains unclear.

Fans stormed social media criticising the decision to have the wall so close to the touchdown line without any padding.

One tweeted: “Why in God’s name is there a brick wall a couple strides away from the back of end zone?”

Another commented: “Why no padding?!”

A third said: “Why the f*** is that s*** not padded?”

And some other fans sent prayers for Lewis’ quick recovery.

One wrote: “Get well soon brother.”

Another stated: “Praying for you.”

And that one said: “Hope to see you back soon.”

Standing out

Lewis joined the Sooners after a recent transfer from Southern Illinois.

This is the fourth college the talented player competes for after stints at UCLA and Wisconsin.

And he has already established himself as one of the Sooners’ most trusted receivers by racking up 210 yards and two touchdowns on 17 receptions so far this season.

Lewis quickly earned his starting place for the Sooners after an impressive pre-season camp.

That was when Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer sang his praises.

Mateer said: “He definitely has a lot of spirit and passion for the game of football, and he loves winning, and he hates losing, which is good for the team.

“He can get after it a little bit…. He’s great.”

Jones, 31, discovered that she had sadly passed away from a heart attack after the victory over the New York Giants.

She had been watching the game when the tragedy struck.

The defensive tackle attended her funeral in Houston, Mississippi just hours before the Chiefs’ clash with the Ravens.

Jones made it back to Arrowhead Stadium in time for the game and contributed to the team’s second win of the season.

He has revealed the pain that he felt when he found out about her death.

He said: “She was actually watching my game when she passed away.

“She meant a lot to me.

“I actually got the news after the game…It was very unexpected.”

Jones said he was “very close” to Angela and was left calling around his family trying to find out what happened.

He added: “I was calling everybody, like, ‘hell yeah!’ and then, you know.

“Everyone was like, call your mom, call your sister.

“And unfortunately, she had a heart attack watching the game.”

The Chiefs ran out 37-20 winners to make it back-to-back wins ahead of their game against the Las Vegas Raiders on October 19.

Jones was selected in the 2016 NFL Draft and has been a key part of the team’s dynasty.

He has won three Super Bowl titles and is considered the leader of the defensive unit.

Coach Andy Reid did accommodate Jones’ request to go to her funeral.

Jones added: “Me and Coach Reid talked about it, and more so it was about making my aunt’s funeral.

“If there was a time frame where I could get back I would try to get back.

“But they completely understood and came up with a plan around it.”

Sam’s Club rolls out in-store change offering new daily service but you can also get ‘unbeatable value’ online

An image collage containing 1 images, Image 1 shows Sam's Club warehouse exterior

SAM’s Club shoppers are getting a fresh new reason to visit stores – and they’ll soon find more to love online, too.

The warehouse retailer is now bringing its sushi program under the Member’s Mark label, with meals made fresh daily by trained chefs.

The rollout is part of a broader plan to upgrade in-store food experiences while expanding digital convenience for members nationwide.

Under the new program, Sam’s Club locations will feature remodeled sushi kiosks and a menu that reflects regional tastes.

Chefs preparing the dishes live and work in the same communities as the shoppers they serve, ensuring local flavors make it onto the menu.

Walmart, which owns Sam’s Club, said feedback from members helped shape the sushi offerings and the ingredients used.

The biggest addition is the new Nara Tray, a 40-piece platter designed to feed a crowd.

Priced at $25, the tray includes Vegetarian Tempura, Dragon, California Crunch, and Spicy Tuna Mango rolls.

Each item in the Nara Tray follows the company’s “Made Without” policy, meaning it’s free of artificial colors, aspartame, and high-fructose corn syrup.

Those standards are based on what members said they wanted – simpler ingredients, better nutrition, and no unnecessary additives.

“This transition is about putting members first,” said Alex Hardy, senior director of Merchandising at Sam’s Club.

“We are delivering the freshness, flavor and quality in sushi that members deserve, every day in our clubs.”

Member’s Mark sushi will be made daily inside stores by local chefs who tailor the menu based on customer feedback.

Flavors will also vary by region – with jalapeño tuna rolls in Texas, mango-forward recipes in Puerto Rico, and poke-style sushi in Hawaii.

The new sushi line aims to connect members to their local food culture while keeping prices accessible.

Sam’s Club described the change as part of its investment in “the future of fresh,” blending innovation and value.

As part of that plan, the retailer will nearly double curbside pickup and delivery options across the country.

Sam's Club membership tiers

Sam's Club offers two levels of membership plans.

Club membership – $50 annually

  • Members-only fuel savings
  • Free curbside pickup on orders of $50 or more
  • Scan and Go shopping
  • Low members-only prices
  • Extra membership card for another member of your household
  • Add up to eight Club members for a reduced price of $45 each

Plus membership – $110 annually

  • Club membership perks included
  • Early shopping at some locations
  • Free delivery on orders of $50 or more
  • Free curbside pickup
  • Add up to 16 Club members for a reduced price of $45 each
  • Pharmacy and optical savings
  • 2% Sam’s Cash back
  • Early shopping at some locations
  • Early access to tire and battery center services
  • 50% off installation of four tires

It’s also expanding regional online assortments, giving customers more ways to shop Member’s Mark products from home.

The fresh sushi initiative follows the launch of express pizza delivery by Sam’s Club in May.

Members can now order 16-inch hot-baked pizzas for quick delivery, continuing the brand’s push to compete with restaurant-quality convenience.

The upgrades come as Sam’s Club works to keep prices low despite growing cost pressures linked to tariffs.

CEO Chris Nicholas said managers are working with suppliers to reduce the impact of higher input costs on shoppers.

In an interview with Bloomberg TV, Nicholas said while some price increases were unavoidable, Sam’s Club has managed to stay competitive.
