Vanderpump Rules villain Tom Sandoval ‘to quit reality TV’ after AGT success as his future career plans are revealed

TOM Sandoval wants to ‘quit’ reality TV after his surprising success on America’s Got Talent as his future career plans are revealed.

While most of his Vanderpump Rules co-stars are pining for a spot on The Valley cast, the reality icon has his eyes set on a different path to build the momentum off his AGT stardom.

Tom, 43, has been performing with his band, Tom Sandoval and the Most Extras, since the group formed in 2021.

The musical group, which was co-founded by Tom’s pal, Jason Bader, who serves as the drummer and manager of the band, performs covers of crowd-favorite hits.

They’ve toured all over the country, with their popularity dipping in 2023 due to the frenzy of “Scandoval,” but it recently picked back up due to their AGT audition

Following the success of the band’s tryout on AGT, the VPR alum now has reprioritized his career to focus on music, a source close to Tom has told The U.S. Sun.

“Tom is focusing on his music career; he is less interested in reality TV right now.

“He wants to launch another tour after his AGT run is over and capitalize on that success.

“He is overwhelmed, in the best way, with the response to his AGT audition and feels seen for the first time as a musician,” the insider claimed.

They added that he “has very little interest in going on The Valley” as of right now and wants to “use this opportunity to pivot more into music and chase those dreams.”

The U.S. Sun has reached out to Tom’s rep for comment.

Tom Sandoval and the Most Extras auditioned for AGT earlier this year, and the episode aired on June 24.

The Bravo star, who is the lead singer of the band, performed vocals to the A-ha classic, Take On Me.

As the band performed the cover in front of the superstar panel of judges and thousands of fans in the crowd, their energy continued to increase as the song went on.

Their electric performance earned a mixed reaction from judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara, and Mel B

While Simon confessed that the vocals “weren’t great” and there were some pitch issues, the former American Idol judge said that the number did make him smile and he was thoroughly entertained.

Despite the harsh critique of his voice, Simon, 65, ultimately gave the hopefuls a “yes.”

Sofia, Howie, and Mel B agreed – giving the band four “yeses” to make it through to the next round on the show – an honor few acts receive.

Responding to Simon’s criticism, Tom admitted backstage that he knows he’s a performer over a vocalist, explaining: “Hearing the best vocalists in the world, he’s had a career of hearing [different levels of talent].

“So, with me being a performer, I’m not the next Celine Dion. I know that. For a long time, I never thought I would ever be able to sing a song like that and hit those notes,

“And so, with working with vocal coaches and practicing, and being able to pull that off, it just was a huge milestone and accomplishment for myself.

“So, I think that’s one of the reasons why I chose it. Plus, it’s just such a great crowd favorite.”

“We’ve got a few songs that we’re kind of throwing around and thinking about, but we’re still trying to figure that out and how to present them.”

Fans were also delighted by his performance, with one commenting on Instagram: “I didn’t think Tom would be redeemable in my eyes but this was fun to watch.”

“Okay he actually sounds really good here. It’s okay to say he’s a good performer guys,” another added.

VALLEY LOWS

While Tom won’t be heading to The Valley anytime soon, his former VPR cast mate, Scheana Shay, will be joining the cast, The U.S. Sun previously revealed.

There are also rumors floating around that former co-star Lala Kent will be added to the show.

New York Yankees star trade addition receives brutal news after disaster start with team

A NEW York Yankees trade deadline acquisition has received news no major leaguer wants to hear.

One of the Yankees‘ trade deadline bullpen pieces has been told to return to Triple-A after a horrific start to his tenure with the team.

Yankees relief pitcher Jake Bird gave up a walk-off three-run home run to third baseman Josh Jung in a brutal 8-5, 10-inning loss to the Texas Rangers on Monday night.

The next morning, the Yankees optioned Bird to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

In a corresponding move, the team made room for the return of reliever Mark Leiter Jr. from the injured list.

Bird had experienced a brutal start to his Yankees tenure in his first outing after he was acquired from the Colorado Rockies last week.

The 29-year-old gave up a grand slam to Kyle Stowers on Friday night against the Miami Marlins.

The homer occurred while the Yanks held a 9-4 lead, which would turn into a 13-12 loss.

Bird has struggled since the beginning of July.

Through July 1, he pitched to a 2.63 ERA while giving up two home runs in his first 37 games.

However, in his last eight games with the Rockies, he allowed 14 earned runs and three home runs in five-and-a-third innings, which is a 23.63 ERA.

Bird did improve on Saturday when he threw a perfect sixth inning with two strikeouts while the Yankees were down 2-0 to the Marlins.

And he was asked to get out of the 10th inning and retired the first two Rangers in order.

But after the Yankees intentionally walked star outfielder Wyatt Langford, Jung slugged a 1-1 pitch into the left field stands to walk it off.

The Yankees traded away prospects Roc Riggio and Ben Shields to acquire Bird.

The Bronx Bombers have also seen less-than-stellar first outings from David Bednar and Camilo Doval, both of whom were acquired in last Thursday’s deadline.

The pair did throw scoreless innings on Monday night before Devin Williams blew a save in the ninth inning thanks to a Joc Pederson game-tying homer.

The Yankees are now 60-53 and in third place.

They are a disappointing 25-31 since June 1.

New York is on a four-game losing streak as they’ll look to bounce back on Tuesday night in Texas.

Tech CEO killed in horror mid-air skydiving crash after ‘pal’s knee hit his head’ as cousin pays tribute to ‘family man’

A TECH CEO was killed when his friend’s knee smashed into his head in a freak mid-air skydiving collision.

Thomas Britis, the 44-year-old head of a fiberoptics firm, crashed down into a field after he and his pal leapt from a small plane in Brazil, according to local officials.

Both the pair’s parachutes deployed, reports Brazilian outlet G1, suggesting Thomas had been able to release it but unable to gain control.

He was rushed to a local hospital but tragically died from his injuries.

Thomas, CEO of Voluy Telecom, was described by his family as a “very experienced” by skydiver who had been jumping from planes since 2014.

He and his friend had begun their jump from the Boituva National Skydiving Center in São Paulo state.

The other jumper was reportedly also being treated in hospital.

Both the parachutes and a helmet were seized by police, and forensics are working to identity the precise cause of death.

Police are also investigating the death, which is currently being treated as suspicious.

Thomas’s cousin, Mayra, paid him an emotional tribute.

She told G1: “He worked very hard, was very loving to his son, to his family.

“He was so experienced, it was such a silly accident. No one ever imagined it would happen.”

Mayra continued: “I was getting ready to go get my nails done when I got the phone call.

I broke the news of the death to the rest of the family. I live in Uberlândia and had to come to Pouso Alegre.

He was so young, he was in the best phase of his life, doing something he loved so much.

“Despite the distance, we were always close. Thomas was also best man at my wedding.”

She insisted: “There was no one who didn’t love him.”

Their statement read: “His energy, commitment, and passion for innovation left a profound mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

“In this time of mourning, we join in solidarity with his family, friends, and all who share this great loss.”

Thomas’s company remembered him as a passionate leader.

The Brazilian Parachuting Confederation (CBPq) said it regretted the accident, and explained that the collision happened during the separation phase of a “Desloc” jump.

This is a free flight technique where the parachutist uses the body to generate lift and horizontal movement while falling.

The CBPq has already instructed a technical expert to prepare a report into the accident.

A statement from the parachuting body read: “At this difficult time, our thoughts are with our athlete, his family, and the entire skydiving community.

“We reiterate our commitment to the safety and integrity of everyone involved in our sporting activity.”

The Boituva city hall confirmed that both jumped had their parachutes open when they landed – but that Thomas’s decent was uncontrolled.

He was rescued by the Fire Department and taken to São Luís Hospital, where his death was confirmed.
