WNBA release urgent statement after another sex toy is thrown onto court in middle of game
THE WNBA has an epidemic of fans throwing items on the court.
More specifically, jokesters continue to toss sex toys onto the court to disrupt games.
Last week, a sex toy came flying onto the court in a matchup between the Atlanta Dream and Golden State Valkyries.
A man believed to be responsible was arrested and faces charges of disorderly conduct, public indecency/indecent exposure, and criminal tresspass.
Another sex toy made its way onto the court on Friday in a matchup between the Chicago Sky and the Valkyries.
The latest incident came on Tuesday, with a bright green sex toy making its way onto the court in a matchup between the Indiana Fever and Los Angeles Sparks.
It nearly hit Sophie Cunningham as it was launched in from the crowd.
Three incidents was enough for the WNBA to step in and make a statement to vilify the behavior from fans.
“The safety and well-being of everyone in our arenas is a top priority for our league,” the statement read.
“Objects of any kind thrown onto the court or in the seating area can pose a safety risk for players, game officials, and fans.
“In line with WNBA Arena Security Standards, any fan who intentionally throws an object onto the court will be immediately ejected and face a minimum one-year ban in addition to being subject to arrest and prosecution by local authorities.”
Coaches have also spoken out about the behavior after having their games impacted.
“I think its ridiculous, it’s dumb, it’s stupid,” Sparks head coach Lynne Roberts said.
“It’s also dangerous and players’ safety is No. 1. Respecting the game. All those things.
“I think it’s really stupid.”
WNBA fans are also getting fed up with the nonsense coming from off the court and sounded off on social media.
“It’s ridiculous and it should get people permanently banned,” one fan said.

FANS have been left stunned after Ms. Rachel revealed an A-list superstar ‘slid into her DMs’.
The beloved preschool teacher-turned-content creator, 42, has made a starring appearance on Kylie Kelce‘s podcast, Not Gonna Lie.
Appearing on the show, Ms. Rachel said, “Hi, I’m Ms. Rachel. Not gonna lie, I like when people cancel plans.”
But aside from adhering to the podcast’s fun Not Gonna Lie segment, she also made some sensational revelations.
Probably one of her biggest revelations from the podcast appearance was when Ms. Rachael revealed a very famous celebrity slid into her DMs.
Speaking to Kylie, she said, “So, I’m not amazing with Instagram.
“So I didn’t know about the requests and top requests, so I ghosted some people for like months.
“Anyway, so, I’m not a cool person, who like knows a lot about celebrities, so when I saw Badgalriri, I was like, ‘wow, this person as so many followers.’
“And then I was like, this is such a cute little profile picture because it’s a drawing.”
SHOCKING CELEB REVELATION
Then Ms. Rachel revealed how she had “no idea” who Badgalriri was and had to ask around.
“And then, yeah, I realized it was Rihanna.”
Rihanna is a doting mom, and is obviously a huge fan of Ms. Rachel given this revelatoon.
The Umbrella hitmaker, who is smitten with A$AP Rocky, has two sons with her partner.
Their eldest is RZA Athelston Mayers, who was born in May 2022 and their younger is Riot Rose Mayers, who was born in August 2023.
Speaking to Ms. Rachel about her Rihanna revelation, Kylie said, “Small flex. Tiny, little flex.”
She asked Ms. Rachel if she “gasped” when she realized.
