Jerry Jones makes ‘urgent’ contract plea to Micah Parsons with Cowboys owner ‘not confident’ star will play in Week 1

DALLAS Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has made a strong contract request to Micah Parsons after sharing his lack of confidence that the pass rusher won’t be available for Week 1.

Jones and Parsons have been in a contract feud, with the latter requesting a trade from the team last week.

On Tuesday, Jones spoke to reporters and revealed that he hasn’t spoken to Parsons or his representation, David Mulugheta, amid the contract dispute.

But the 82-year-old also shared that he isn’t confident Parsons will play for the September 4 opener against the Philadelphia Eagles.

“No, absolutely not,” Jones said after Tuesday’s joint practice with the Los Angeles Rams.

“A big part of that is his decision.

“How would I know that?”

Jones was then asked when the urgency for a deal would increase, and he said, “I’m urgent.”

Parsons has been taking part in the walk-throughs each practice, but didn’t participate in the team’s drills.

The 26-year-old is seeking a deal that will make him the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL.

So Parsons is looking to exceed the $160 million deal that the Cleveland Browns gave pass rusher Myles Garrett this offseason.

He is earning $24 million this season thanks to his fifth-year option of his rookie contract.

Jones shared over the weekend that back in March, he believed he and Parsons had reached an agreement on a deal concerning the contract length, guarantees, and total money handed out.

“[It was] a hell of a lot more than you think I did,” Jones said about his offer to Parsons.

He also referred to “guaranteeing somebody almost $200 million.”

It’s worth noting that the Cowboys have waited to sign stars Ezekiel Elliot, Zack Martin, Dak Prescott, and CeeDee Lamb until late in training camp or days before the beginning of the NFL season.

Jones has never seen a star walk who he really wanted to stay on the team.

The Cowboys will soon prepare for their first preseason game, which will be against the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday.

They’ll have two more preseason games before the upcoming season.

Dallas is now led by first-year head coach Brian Schottenheimer as they’ll look to bounce back from a 7-10 campaign.

Delta, United, & Spirit among airlines using ‘text trick that leads to fliers missing trips’ – & you may not get refund

TRAVELERS should take extra care not to trust everything their airlines text them about flight delays, or they could risk missing trips entirely.

Some major carriers like Delta and Spirit have been reported to send misleading texts that left some travelers rushing to make their take-off times.

Flight attendant Tay warned travelers to always get to the airport early[/caption]

According to Tay, a flight attendant who posts travel advice on TikTok, passengers should always show up at the scheduled flight time, even if they’re told it will take off much later.

“I don’t care how many hours it’s delayed,” said the TikToker (@tay_shearer) in the video.

“They may very well still take off at the same time.”

Tay explained that one of her flights she worked that day was intended to be delayed for two and a half hours, but ended up leaving on time.

“I had so many passengers coming up to me today saying they almost missed it because they turned around and went and did something else besides going to the airport,” she said.

The flight attendant said that Delta is an “on-time” airline and wrote that she had missed a flight herself by trusting the delayed departure time.

Airlines are always trying to stay on time throughout the day so they don’t create a string of mounting issues with flights.

Because of this, the carrier could suddenly fix a problem that could have delayed the flight, and jump back to the intended departure time.

One woman who was booked for a United flight claimed that she missed a trip because of a delay mixup.

She said that she didn’t get any “boarding notices or updates” warning her that the flight times would be swapped, according to The Points Guy.

Plus, some flyers say that they’ve missed flights because of this mix-up and haven’t been able to get a refund.

Another family flying with Spirit claimed that their trip was delayed by 35 minutes, so they left the gate to get something to eat.

When they got back to the gate with ample time to board, they were told the doors had been closed, the New York Times reported.

What’s worse is that, under Spirit’s policy, it is not the carrier’s fault if a flyer misses a departure that was suddenly changed back to the original time.

“In the event of a delay, guests are recommended to remain in the gate area for updates and possible early departures,” Spirit said in a statement, citing a section of its Contract of Carriage.

“Spirit shall not be liable to any guest who missed a flight, which departed earlier than the estimated departure time posted for the delay.”

The U.S. Sun has reached out to Spirit, Delta, and United for clarification on their policies over missing once-delayed flights.

Haunting position of teen girl’s body after she & 3 friends are found naked & shot in back of head in 34-year mystery

HEARTBREAKING information revealed the position of the youngest victim was left in after the unsolved yogurt shop murder case of 1991.

On December 6, 1991, four teenage girls were brutally murdered and then set on fire at a local yogurt shop in their hometown of Austin, Texas.

The killer has still not been identified[/caption]

Eliza Thomas, 17, Amy Ayers, 13, and their sisters Jennifer, 17, and Sarah Harbison, 15, were all found tied up and gagged when officers arrived at the scene.

However, the youngest victim, Amy, was found separate from the pack with her arm reaching out towards the other girls.

Much of what went on that night remains unknown, although investigators believe at least one of the young girls was sexually assaulted.

After the four girls were shot in the head, the mysterious killer set the yogurt shop, called I Can’t Believe it’s Yogurt, on fire, destroying most of the evidence.

The over 30-year-old cold case has been brought back to life in HBO’s latest four-part docuseries, The Yogurt Shop Murders.

The documentary recounts what happened that horrendous night and what the decades-long tumultuous investigation has involved.

That December night, Eliza and Jennifer were scheduled to work at the shop, but they were joined by their friends Sarah and Amy just before closing, as the four of them waited to go home.

In the documentary, Reese Price, the manager of the shop, recalls the horrific scene after the girls’ bodies were nearly burnt to ashes.

“There wasn’t anything there to identify,” she told HBO.

“Fire is very destructive. It’s not forgiving.”

At the time of the murders, investigators interviewed dozens of yogurt shop customers from that day.

Lead investigator John Jones told 48 Hours that several customers reported two men who looked out of place hanging around the shop.

Both men had drinks, but neither ordered yogurt.

“They never have been identified. And we did everything,” Jones said.

“We even hypnotized some folks.”

After long and hard efforts by investigators, the case eventually went cold.

“I can see them, I can still see them inside that place,” Jones said.

“That stuff’s… indelibly burned in my mind.”

NEW LEADS

In 1999, eight years after the murders, investigators decided to look into a different lead.

That lead led them to four men: Robert Springsteen, Michael Scott, Maurice Pierce and Forrest Welborn.

All four suspects were teens at the time of the murders and one of the men, Maurice Pierce, was even an initial person of interest.

Jones had questioned Pierce after he was arrested near the yogurt shop with a gun days after the murder; however, he was let go due to a lack of evidence.

When questioned in 1991, Springsteen and Scott confessed to the crimes and were convicted of the murders.

However, the two men recanted their confessions, claiming they were coerced into it, and were set free after having spent 10 years in prison.

HBO’s four-part series first aired on August 3 on HBO Max.

Trader Joe’s gives Starbucks a run for its money with ‘on point’ coffee dupe – and it’s only $4

TRADER JOE’S is giving Starbucks a run for its money with a $4 coffee dupe.

Vanilla cold foam is the perfect summer treat for coffee lovers, but with it costing $1.25 to add it to your order, it’s far to pricey for many Americans.

Cold foam is a light airy topping made by frothing non-fat milk without heat, creating a creamy texture that sits on top of cold beverages like iced lattes and cold brew.

Other retailers such as International Delight and Target have mimicked the Starbucks classic, but it is the Trader Joe’s version that has got people talking.

Taking to Reddit, one coffee fan revealed that they had bought the $4 cream, and had used it to make their own Starbucks dupe at home.

You can make dozens of drinks with one bottle of the foam, making it much more cost-effective than the Starbucks foam.

Proudly sharing a snap of the drink, the Redditor said: “I tried International Delight’s and Target’s Vanilla cold foam and both were too sweet and too artificial in my opinion.

“I ended up trying those once and throwing it away.

“Happy to report Trader Joe’s one wasn’t artificial tasting (pretty on point with vanilla extract taste) and was surprisingly less runny than the other brands, which I love!

“Not as stiff as whipped cream, but also not as runny as the other foams.

“Tasting the foam itself only, I don’t get a super sweet taste either, so I think it’ll work nicely with already sweetened drinks.

“I personally like to use these on top of iced black coffee or espresso, and let the foam sweeten it.

“When mixed, it provided a subtle vanilla-sweetened flavor to the coffee, but not much creaminess, so I’d add creamer/milk separately if you like your coffee creamy.”

Reddit fans flooded the comments section of the post, to share their thoughts on the cream.

One person said: “It’s GOOD I got some today and tried it in HOT coffee and still was YUMMY.”

A second person said: “Can’t wait to try this one! I tried the Coffee Mate one when it first came out and it was absolutely disgusting I threw it out after one taste.

“The way you describe this one sounds more like what I’m looking for.”

A third person said: “Congrats! You just made me run to TJs and grab this! Lol.”

Deadline to claim $2,000 cash settlement from $6.37million pot fast approaching – handwritten receipts can help

THE deadline to claim $2,000 from a $6.37 million settlement is fast approaching.

Americans don’t have much time left to apply for compensation in a data breach class action that compromised sensitive informaiton.

The deadline to claim $2,000 from a $6.37 million settlement is fast approaching[/caption]

Apria Healthcare is a company that provides several services such as oxygen therapy, sleep apnea treatment and wound care.

The company has been accused of not doing enough to prevent a data leak in April 2019 that threatened both employee and customer information.

Apria’s alleged negligence allowed hackers to gain access to the personal information, plaintiffs have said.

As a result, Apria Healthcare has agreed to payout the $6.375 million to settle the claims.

This is despite not admitting to any wrongdoing.

The settlement benefits anyone who received notice from Apria that their information may have been compromised by hackers.

HOW MUCH WILL YOU BE PAID?

Under the terms of the settlement, class members are able top receive reimbursement for expenses related to the data breach.

This refers to money spent covering expenses resulting from information having been stolen.

It covers things like fraud and identity theft losses, professional fees, credit expenses and credit monitoring costs.

The settlement allows for claimants to receive up to $2,000 as compensation.

Class members are also able to receive a pro rata, or proportional, payment from the settlement fund.

This payment will depend on the amount of people claiming, as it will determine the number of people the money needs to be split between.

The more eligible claimants, the less each person will receive as a pro rata payment, and the less people the more money.

WHAT TO SUBMIT

When applying to this settlement, you must submit proof that you suffered financial as a result of the breach.

What's a class-action settlement?

Class action lawsuits offer groups of people, or 'classes,' a way to band together in court.

These suits are often brought by one or a few people who allege a company or other entity has wronged a large group of people.

When a suit becomes a class action, it extends to all “class members,” or people who may have similar complaints to those who filed the suit.

Companies often settle class actions – offering payment to class members who typically waive their right to pursue further legal action by accepting money.

These payout agreements frequently include statements by the defendant denying wrongdoing. Companies tend to settle class actions to avoid the costs of further litigation.

Pollution, discrimination, or false advertising are a few examples of what can land a class action on a company’s doorstep.

These cannot be self-prepared by the claimant, like a hand-written receipt for example.

On its own, something like a hand-written receipt is not enough to receive reimbursement.

You must submit something like a normal receipt, an invoice or a financial document showing the money you paid out.

A self-prepared proof of purchase is not completely worthless, however.

It can be considered to add clarity or support other submitted documentation.

WHEN IS THE DEADLINE?

If you do not submit a claim form before the deadline, you will not be considered for payment.

Also, if you submit a knowingly fraudulent claim, you are harming those who are eligible to receive compensation.

This settlement has claim deadline of October 22, 2025, and the final hearing will take place on November 4.

You can submit a claim by clicking this link.
