The retailer is selling a “modern” prefab home for just $9,866, and it comes with a bedroom, kitchen and bathroom.

The “portable luxury villa” is said to be perfect to be used as a vacation home, for off-grid living, or for city living.
You could also use it for visiting relatives or for getting some extra cash by renting it out as a side hustle.
You can choose from your home having one, two, three or even four bedrooms – and all designs come with one restroom.
In the snaps, the bathroom is a white, stylish design, with a shower, toilet and sink.
The home can either measure 20ft or 40ft in size, with the description saying it has “space expansion to fit your needs.”
The Amazon home can be customized to meet your needs, and there are numerous layout options available.
Of course, the final price may differ depending on the exact features and layout you choose.
Thankfully it doesn’t take long to install when it arrives and is said to be easy to set up with “fast assembly with minimal tools.”

One thing to note is it’s not easy to move the home without proper transportation as it weighs 2,392 pounds.
Tiny homes have boomed in popularity in the United States over the past decade, mainly down to affordability and sustainability reasons, and the desire for minimalist living.
Millennials and Generation X are the primary adopters of tiny homes, with the majority of tiny home dwellers being between 30 and 50 years old.
The tiny home market has grown over the past decade, and is projected to reach $23.7 billion by 2026.
What is a tiny home?
Technically, a tiny home is any house measuring under 400 square feet.
Many tiny homes are built on trailers so they can be towed anywhere, and some are converted from old school buses or vans.
Each state has its own rules about tiny homes, but, generally, they are not subject to the same taxes as regular homes.
However, Alaska, Iowa, Louisiana, North Dakota, New Jersey, New York, Wisconsin, and West Virginia have made tiny homes illegal as permanent dwellings.

Speaking to CT Insider, local selectman Jim Brinton said: “It means that people’s concerns have been validated – speeding is a huge, huge problem.”
Furthermore, warning signs for the cameras are positioned on the roads before each camera – along with speed limit warnings – suggesting the issue isn’t around driver awareness.
Brinton added: “I think people should be aware because it’s been a two-year process.”
The approval to install speed cameras on three roads in the town was issued in December, with towns required under state law to submit plans for approval before they can begin using red light or speed cameras to enforce traffic laws.
These specific cameras, located in Washington, Connecticut, on Old Litchfield Road, Route 109 and Baldwin Hill Road, are placed to protect the estimated 3,600 residents across five rural villages.
Of the three approved roads, the town installed the cameras on Old Litchfield Road and Route 109 some six weeks ago, while a camera will be installed on Baldwin Hill Road within the next couple of weeks.
These cameras are designed to detect and collect evidence of traffic violations – by recording images of license plate data, date, time and location.
Then, there is a 30-day grace period once the new camera is installed – during which written warnings are issued for violations instead of citations.
Once that grace period is up, citations are issued – with drivers forced to fork out $50 for the first violation and $75 for each subsequent one.
These citations are then mailed by the town to the registered owner of the speeding vehicle photographed by the camera.
A LONG TIME COMING
Washington has struggled with speeding drivers for a number of years, but problems have escalated in recent times.
Brinton said: “It got exponentially worse after the pandemic, and we got constantly flooded with calls.”
This led to controlling the speed limit on the three roads becoming the town’s “single goal” for applying for the automated cameras.
Reactions to the cameras have been mixed – with some commending the local authority’s efforts to slow down motorists and protect pedestrians.
Others, though, are concerned the cameras invade their privacy.
Brinton said: “In our town, a rural town, you have a lot of pedestrians, a lot of children, utilizing our roads for exercise, and it was a safety concern.”
This is only the beginning too, as the town plans to apply to the state to add three more roads to its traffic camera plan.
The three additional roads have yet to be determined – with a data tracker required to monitor which roads would benefit the most from cameras.
Brinton added that he has spoken with leaders of other municipalities, including in neighbouring Sherman and Hebron, on the process of applying for automated traffic cameras.
“It’s well worth it if we get people to slow down,” he said.
“Hopefully, it means it’s an effective deterrent and it’s really that simple to get people to slow down.”
How to fight a speeding ticket
According to a legally reviewed post, there are five effective strategies to fighting a speeding ticket if it was wrongfully issued.
If pulled over and issued a ticket, drivers can argue or dispute a driver’s personal opinion. When issuing a speeding ticket, an officer is required to write their opinion and come to an “objective” conclusion. If the ticket was written based on that judgment, it can be contested. An example would be if you were going 75 mph in a 65 mph zone because others were traveling at the same speed, you could argue that it would be more dangerous to travel at 65 mph.
You can dispute the officer’s presentation of evidence. If you were ticketed for something like running a stop sign or making an illegal u-turn, you can’t contest that if an officer saw you, but you can call things into court like eyewitnesses, diagrams, or photos.
Argue that the ticket was issued by a “mistake of fact.” This is tricky, but a “mistake of fact” is a mistake made by a driver about a situation that was beyond their control, or if a driver legitimately did not know they were violating the law. For example, you were driving in two lanes because the lane markers were so worn down that you could not see them.
You could say circumstances justified your driving. You could say you were speeding to pass a possibly drunk driver, or avoiding an accident by rapidly changing lanes. However, the argument won’t work if there’s proof you continued to speed after passing.
Similar to the above, it could be argued that speeding was necessary to avoid harm. The key is to argue that if you weren’t speeding, you or someone else could have been harmed.

Speaking on OutKick’s Clay and Buck, she claimed fans criticized Biles in her own comments section.
Gaines said, “I was prepared when I got that notification on my phone for that onslaught of hatred to come towards me.
“Look at Simone Biles’ comments section – she is getting absolutely demolished to the point where I almost feel bad for her, like I really do.
“I have read these comments, I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh!’
“It was the number one trending thing on Twitter for two days straight.
“Even on TikTok, every video that pops up on my page is someone coming for Simone Biles for coming for me and for my body.”
The swimmer has been an activist campaigning against trans women in female sports.
She posted a message on Friday night which annoyed Biles.
Gaines said that Chaplin Park girl’s team turned the comments off a post because the team featured a transgender player.
The team just won the Minnesota State High School Championship in softball.
“Comments off lol,” Gaines wrote on the post.
“To be expected when your star player is a boy.”
Biles hit back by claiming Gaines was a “sore loser” and that her campaigning was because of a race result in 2022.
Gaines finished tied fifth with transgender woman Lia Thomas in the 200m freestyle at the 2022 NCAA Championships.
The gymnast said, “You’re truly sick, all of this campaigning because you lost a race. Straight up a sore loser.
“You should be uplifting the trans community and perhaps finding a way to make sports inclusive or creating a new avenue where trans feel sage in sports.
“Maybe a transgender category in all sports.
“But instead you bully them.
“One things for sure is no one in sports is safe with you around.”
Biles later followed up, “Bully someone your own size, which ironically would be a male.”
Firehook Artisan Classic Sea Salt Organic Crackers are subject to the recall.
An undisclosed number of packages of the crackers were sold across the East Coast.
This includes retail stores in 11 states.
The states affected include Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Virginia.
The company, Firehook of Virginia, initiated the urgent recall after it had discovered “undeclared sesame” in the product.
“People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to sesame run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products,” the FDA stated.
Sesame is recognized as one of the top nine food allergens in the US.
Approximately 1 million Americans suffer from a sesame allergy.
The mislabeling was blamed on a “temporary breakdown” in production.

The product is Artisan Classic Sea Salt Crackers. The size of the package is 8 ounces (oz.).
The UPC Code is 8 99055 00063 5. The crackers come in a clear package. Check for a Best-By Date of 09/29/25.
Firehook of Virginia began the recall on May 30.
The FDA publicly announced the information on June 4.
There have been no confirmed illnesses linked to the product so far.

DRIVERS have been cautioned against city parking meters that are stealing their personal information.
A transportation advisory was issued regarding a parking meter scam that has been duping drivers.

The New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) informed drivers that the city’s ParkNYC meters were stealing credit card information from unsuspecting parkers.
At least one QR code was placed on the side of a legitimate city meter with a fake link, according to the DOT.
Once a driver scanned the fraudulent code, it would redirect them to a third-party site asking for credit card information.
New York’s DOT did not reveal which meter was tampered with.
NYC drivers have been advised to avoid sharing payment information like credit or debit card numbers through online portals or apps.
The department reminded drivers that the only way to securely pay for a metered parking spot is through the official ParkNYC app or on a physical meter.
“Consumers beware. Scammers are targeting parking meters, and we want you to be vigilant,” Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez said.
“If you see a QR code on a parking meter, do not scan it and please report it.”
The commissioner urged New Yorkers to tear off any fake parking stickers and report it by calling 212-839-7100 or emailing parknyc@flowbirdapp.com.
The DOT has taken steps to make New Yorkers aware of the scam.
“ParkNYC users will receive an in-app notification about this scam and proper payment methods for metered parking. NYC DOT has notified law enforcement,” according to a press release.
The city’s police department has already been notified of the scam and have launched an investigation.
Law enforcement officers are looking for any illegally placed signage or markings pertaining to parking meters across the boroughs.
New York City began using ParkNYC, the mobile payment system for on-street parking, in December 2016.
How to spot a fake parking ticket
Thieves sometimes go to great lengths to squeeze money from drivers
With parking ticket scams on the rise, it’s important to know how to tell the difference between a bogus ticket and a legitimate one.
Many parking enforcement agencies, like those employed by cities, will never ask people to pay for their tickets via apps like Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle.
A QR code should always make drivers cautious, as many times they lead to fake payment websites built by scammers to access banking or personal information.
It’s also wise to pay close attention to logos, as some scammers will even use fake logos close enough to a city’s official logo fooling those who don’t look closely.
Emails or text messages regarding parking citations should always be ignored, as most parking enforcement agencies will never use those mediums to collect a debt.
Other helpful tips for spotting false citations:
Do some research on the lot you’re parking in, as signs are legally required to be posted to inform drivers on who is enforcing parking rules.
Carefully examine the citation for any flaws – misspellings, incorrect logos, links, QR codes, etc.
Evaluate the contact information on the ticket. Websites that belong to cities will always end in either .gov.
Finally, pay with a card, as disputing an illegal charge is easier. Avoid mailing checks or cash to a suspect parking ticket.
Look at a city’s ticketing database to double-check that you’ve been cited by an official.
One driver who noticed the scam QR code shared an image of the sticker on Reddit.
“When you scan the QR code it brings you to a payment screen where you enter your card info as if you’re about to pay by app or online,” the user wrote.
“I noticed something was off when it didn’t work for either of us, but we had already entered our card info.
“The website it brought us to did not look official, the URL was strange, and the payment was defaulted as EUR not USD,” the driver said.
ParkNYC allows drivers to pay for parking at any metered parking space on a pay-as-you-go basis with no additional fees after loading an initial $25 wallet balance.
In 2019, the popular app facilitated more than 22 million parking transactions, according to a 2020 NYC DOT press release.
Now, there are roughly 80,000 ParkNYC meters across the city.
When it was first introduced, DOT Commissioner Polly Trottenberg said the meters would make parking in New York much easier.
“With ParkNYC, drivers no longer have to scramble for change or even walk to a Muni-Meter to get a receipt for their dashboard,” said Trottenberg.
“With no added fees, mobile alerts that let you know when your parking session is ending, and the ability to extend a session without returning to your car, ParkNYC offers a great convenience to New York drivers.”
Anyone who has been targeted by the scam should immediately call their bank or credit card company to report the crime and stay protected.
