NFL bans common sideline treatment that George Kittle uses in every single game
THE NFL stunningly banned a sideline stimulant that star tight end George Kittle uses in each game.
The San Francisco 49ers Pro Bowler shared his major disapproval over the league’s decision on Tuesday.

With the 2025 regular season set to begin in about a month, the NFL made an announcement concerning a sideline treatment that players use before or during games
The use of “smelling salts” has been banned for the upcoming campaign, the league announced in a memo to teams on Tuesday.
The memo revealed that the ban has been made due to FDA warnings that were issued in 2024, noting negative effects which include masking “certain neurological signs and symptoms, including some potential signs of concussion.”
During NFL Network’s live television interview of 49ers linebacker Fred Warner, the defender’s teammate Kittle made sure to interrupt to let viewers know about the memo.
Kittle crashed the interview to “air a grievance” with the league prohibiting the use of ammonia and smelling salts.
“I honestly just came up here to air a grievance,” Kittle said.
“Our team got a memo today that smelling salts and ammonia packets were made illegal in the NFL, and I’ve been distraught all day.”
Kittle shared that he’s a regular user of smelling salts, which helps provide him with a boost of energy before every offensive drive.
“I miss those already.”
The ninth-year veteran then joked that the memo news was so brutal for him that he contemplated calling it quits.
“I considered retirement,” Kittle jokingly said.
“We have got to figure out a middle ground here, guys.
“Somebody help me out.
“Somebody come up with a good idea.

“That’s all I had to get out there.
“Get that off my chest.”
NFL fans reacted to the ban of smelling salts for the league’s players.
“Kittle joking or not, banning smelling salts is a wild shift, curious how players who rely on them will adapt,” one wrote.
“There’s no f***ing way,” another commented.
“No fun league strikes again,” a third added.

NFL announces final Jordan Addison punishment decision in huge blow to Minnesota Vikings following strict rule break
THE NFL has announced a suspension for Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison.
Addison, 23, was found to have violated the league’s substances of abuse policy.

And the receiver will be banned for the first three games of the 2025 NFL season.
He will not be eligible to play until the Week 4 clash with the Pittsburgh Steelers in Dublin, Ireland.
A three-game ban is the baseline suspension in the collective bargaining agreement for a first offence.
Addison will continue to participate in Vikings training camp.
He is also eligible to play in preseason.
The suspension relates to a DUI arrest in Los Angeles, California last summer.
The 23-year-old pleaded no contest to a lesser charge and was sentenced to probation.
He was given 12 months’ probation and a $390 fine as well as being ordered to complete an alcohol education course.
Addison was found asleep by police at the wheel of a white Rolls Royce blocking a lane of the I-105 near LAX.
In July 2023, he was cited for driving 140 mph on a Minnesota freeway.
The 23-year-old pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor speeding charge and paid $686 in fines.
Addison will now miss games against the Chicago Bears, Atlanta Falcons and Cincinnati Bengals in September.
Minnesota will play three preseason games in August.
Addison could feature in those, against the Houston Texans, New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans.
“Whatever’s out there for me, whatever comes with it, I’ll own up to everything,” he said last summer.

“I feel like anything that comes my way is meant to happen or is deserved.”
Addison was a first round NFL Draft pick in 2023.
He has 1,786 yards from 133 catches with 19 touchdowns in his career so far.
The 23-year-old is part of one of the league’s top receiving duos with Justin Jefferson.
The pair helped Minnesota to a 14-3 record last season.
