Heartbreaking moment Katy Perry fights back tears live on stage after split with Orlando Bloom

KATY Perry appeared to fight back tears live on stage as she sang an emotional song three months after her split from husband Orlando Bloom.

The pop superstar, 40, kicked off the UK leg of her Lifetimes tour in Belfast at the weekend and, during the fourth chapter of the set, it all looked to be a bit overwhelming.

The chapter titled, Choose Your Own Adventure, began with the 2013 track Ghost.

While not written about Orlando, 48, the lyrics about a tough break-up, that sees a lover and best friend fade away to be come little more than a memory, were very apt.

Katy moved along the walkway into the crowd and crouched as she sang, “My vision’s twenty-twenty, I see through you, now, now, now, now, so rest in peace, I’ll see you on the other side.”

As the chorus rang out, Katy did her best not to weep as fans watched with their phones held in the air.

Katy and Orlando finally confirmed they were over in July after attempts to save their relationship.

We revealed how Katy told friends in January that her nine years together with the movie star was over.

The couple, who share daughter Daisy, four, struggled to find time to see each other with their busy working lives.

A source close to the couple said: “Katy confided in friends at the start of the year that their relationship was as good as done

“They decided to hold off on announcing anything in case things improved between them, because they are desperate to stay together for the sake of their daughter.

“But they have spent barely any time together this year, with Katy on tour and Orlando working on his upcoming film Bucking Fastard in Dublin

“She knew that taking off her engagement ring would send a clear message.

“It’s been a hard year so far. They wanted to wait until the tour is over before they made their split official, although Katy has grown tired of the situation.”

The couple started dating in 2016 and got engaged three years later. However, The Sun understands they had difficult conversations about their future over Christmas and in January but struggled to make a firm decision.

Reps for the couple refused to comment when approached about their separation in February and June.

Neither publicly acknowledged each other on social media on Valentine’s Day — the sixth anniversary of their engagement.

Their last public appearance was at the Vanity Fair Oscars bash in March.

The source called it a “massive shock” to friends when Katy revealed their relationship was in trouble, adding: “Everyone thought that they were tighter than tight.”

Katy previously had a short-lived marriage to comedian Russell Brand, 50, from 2010 to 2012.

Orlando was married to Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr, 42, from 2010 to 2013 and they share a son, Flynn, 14.

The insider rubbished rumours Katy and Orlando had an argument over her Blue Origin space flight in April.

They said: “That’s nonsense. The truth is that their relationship has been on shaky ground for a long time now.

“Going to space was a welcome distraction from what was going on, if nothing else.”

Fears final 200 hikers still trapped on Everest will be buried alive by snow as rescuers face race against time

OVER 200 hikers are still stranded on Mount Everest after a vicious blizzard hit campsites – with rescuers rushing to save the remaining mountaineers.

Climbers told of their harrowing experiences as they faced being drowned by rapidly growing piles of snow 16,000ft above ground.

Fears are mounting that the 200 hikers could be buried alive by the raging snowstorm as authorities race against the clock to reach them.

Hundreds of local villagers and emergency workers are now urgently clearing heaps of snow left by the extreme weather.

Local media initially reported that there were 1,000 stranded climbers – but Chinese state media said on Monday that 350 people had been evacuated while 200 remain trapped.

The freak blizzard struck on Friday evening before it raged through the night into Saturday – leaving hundreds of hikers stuck at choking altitudes.

Treacherous conditions collapsed tents and saw climbers catch hypothermia from the freezing temperatures.

Authorities say the 350 they have rescued so far are in the town of Qudang.

Rescue teams are also in contact with the remaining 200 climbers – with some having faced the biting cold for 48 hours.

Hundreds were reportedly stuck in the Karma Valley, on Everest’s eastern slopes in Tibet.

The lesser-known route offers a scenic path to the base of Everest with breathtaking views and is popular with tourists.

One hiker who was evacuated to Qudang township said their guide claimed the weather for October was “not normal”.

They told Reuters: “It was so wet and cold in the mountains, and hypothermia was a real risk… The weather this year is not normal.

“The guide said he had never encountered such weather in October… And it happened all too suddenly.”

Another witness told BBC: “All of us are experienced hikers… But this blizzard was still extremely difficult to deal with. I was so lucky to get out.”

The situation has also been complicated by the high volume of tourists – with China‘s Golden Week holiday taking place over the last week.

Access to Everest Scenic Area has been suspended since Saturday due to the intense snow fall.

One person reportedly died the wake of the sudden blizzard in China’s Qinghai province.

Local media reported that the mountaineer died from hypothermia and altitude sickness on Sunday in the Laohugou area.

Just across the border in Nepal, heavy rains have triggered landslides and flash floods.

The storms have sparked chaos, blocking roads and washing away bridges.

It’s not the first time intrepid hikers have been trapped up Everest.

In 2010, around 2,000 tourists and their porters spent five days stuck in a small village over 9,000 ft up a slope because of stormy conditions.

Sick TikToker jailed after filming himself injecting strangers with SYRINGE on streets on Paris amid needle attack panic

A TIKTOK prankster who filmed himself pretending to jab strangers with a syringe on the streets of Paris has been jailed.

Amine Mojito — real name Ilan M. — was sentenced to 12 months in prison, with six to be served behind bars.

A Paris court ruled his viral stunt amounted to “violence with a weapon not resulting in work incapacity,” according to French paper Libération.

The 27-year-old was also hit with a €1,500 fine and banned from owning or carrying a weapon for three years.

The influencer posted clips showing him creeping up on passersby and pretending to jab them with a capped syringe – just days before France’s massive Fête de la Musique street festival in June.

The videos went viral, but prosecutors said they also poured fuel on public anxiety over a spate of mysterious syringe assaults sweeping the country.

Online outrage exploded after Mojito’s clips spread.

Prosecutors reportedly branded him a “public menace,” arguing the stunt “knowingly aggravated public outrage in an otherwise volatile context.”

One victim told the court the experience felt “like a nightmare,” especially amid existing health fears.

Mojito claimed it was all a stupid stunt to relaunch his social media career and promote a fitness programme.

“I had the very bad idea of doing these pranks by imitating what I saw on the Internet, in Spain [and] in Portugal,” he told the court, quoted by Libération.

“I didn’t think it could hurt people. That was my mistake, I didn’t think about others, I thought about myself.”

His lawyers begged for leniency, stressing the two months he already spent in pre-trial detention in solitary at Fleury-Mérogis prison.

Attorney Marie Claret de Fleurieu argued the verdict “brings the debate back to more reasonable proportions after the initial media frenzy.”

But the court wasn’t swayed.

The sentence comes after months of needle-related fear across France.

In June, at least 145 festivalgoers — many teenage girls — reported being jabbed by strangers during Fête de la Musique celebrations, according to the French interior ministry.

Some victims fell ill and were rushed to hospital for toxicology tests.

Police arrested 12 people, but have yet to confirm what — if anything — was inside the syringes.

Paris alone saw 13 reported cases, while the southwestern city of Angoulême logged about 50.

In Metz, police used CCTV to track and arrest a suspect accused of stabbing 10 girls.

The bizarre attacks followed disgusting social media calls encouraging people to jab women during the festivities, French media reported.

Authorities said the Mojito videos, though featuring capped syringes, risked normalising and encouraging such assaults.

The prosecution initially demanded 15 months under electronic monitoring, but judges settled on a year with half suspended.

And in particular, he looked to praise star receiver Egbuka – but struggled to get the pronunciation correct.

“You gotta give credit to this rookie sensation, wide receiver out of Ohio State, Emeka Egbigboo, going for over 100 yards,” he said.

After laughter in the studio, Gronkowski tried again.

“Emeka Egbuka, I’m getting confused!” he said before chirping toward the legendary Terry Bradshaw about his own pronunciation gaffes.

It came just weeks after Gronkowski took a major shot at Terry Bradshaw’s weight during a hilarious Fox NFL Sunday sequence.

During the early minutes of Fox NFL SundayGronkowski confirmed that he was coming out of football retirement, but not to play in the NFL.

The future Pro Football Hall of Fame tight end announced he, along with his former Patriots teammate Tom Brady, will participate in the Fanatics Flag Football Classic next March.

Gronk also revealed he’s been training but that he’s got to “pick it up a little and run fast speed routes.”

Bradshaw proceeded to ask Gronkowski how much he weighed before saying, “we’ve got to get you weighed down a little.”

But Gronk only heard the last remark and made sure to poke fun at himself and Bradshaw’s frame.

“I’ve got to lose about 20 pounds just like you,” he told the Pittsburgh Steelers legend.

Strahan instantly showed his amazed look at the remark as he along with the the Fox NFL Sunday crew couldn’t believe Gronk’s comment.

Gronkowski then took back his words to Bradshaw and said, “I’m just messing around.”
