SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) – Catfish Bay: “The Greatest Show on H2O” is having their annual 4th of July show today.
Fireworks aren’t the only thing flying through the air today. At Catfish Bay, skiers showed off their routine to the 4th of July crowd.
“We typically do the 4th of July holiday show at Catfish Bay first, really, since we’ve started Catfish Bay. And, we do a Memorial Day show, a July 4th show, and a Labor Day show typically each year,” said Jim Bruns, Owner.
Catfish Bay does have a fireworks show on July 2nd, which has been a sold out show for the last few years.
“The Mueller Palace fireworks show on Wednesday was a sold out show. And we did the greatest show on H2O starting at 7:00. And then afterwards, we finished up with the greatest fireworks show on H2O,” said Bruns.
Catfish Bay has been entertaining crowds for 30 years, and the 4th of July show has been going on since the beginning.
“You really kind of get to forget everything going on in life and just enjoy some fun at a beach, on a lake, watching some stuff that people love doing, putting on amazing water skis, nice big pyramids, barefoot water skiing, flips over the jump,” said Bruns.
Dawson Wallen is one of the performers, and his dad is also a skier. Dawson has been performing at Catfish for as long as he can remember.
“It’s always a good time out here. No matter who’s out here, or how big the crowd is. We all just always bring the excitement. Always a good show,” said Wallen.
Clear Skies and skilled skiers made a water-ful, afternoon event today.
