Legendary defensive player JJ Watt will make the transition from studio to broadcast booth.

He was part of The NFL Today, CBS‘ kickoff show leading into Sunday games.

But Watt is joining Ian Eagle and Evan Washburn in the network’s second top broadcast team.

And they will be at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Sunday 7 September.

The trio will be on the call for the Pittsburgh Steelers at the New York Jets at 1 pm ET.

There are three other games in the same time slot on CBS.

They are the Miami Dolphins at the Indianapolis Colts, the Las Vegas Raiders’ trip to the New England Patriots and the Arizona Cardinals’ visit to the New Orleans Saints.

CBS’ top crew of Jim Nantz, Tony Romo and Tracy Wolfson will be working the 4.25 pm ET window.

They’ll be broadcasting the Detroit Lions’ trip to NFC North rivals the Green Bay Packers.

The Houston Texans take on the Los Angeles Rams in the same window.

Kevin Harlan, Trent Green and Melanie Collins will be in the booth for that game.

CBS went a step further by announcing the broadcast teams for Weeks 2 and 3.

They will not have the double-header for either of those weeks with Fox given the privileges.

Both the top two CBS teams will have 1 pm ET games in Week 2 and Week 3.

Nantz, Romo and Wolfson will call the Buffalo Bills at the New York Jets on Sunday 14 September.
