Tiger, 49, reportedly coaches his son and they have a close bond away from the course.
As shown in Charlie‘s emotional message to his father on Sunday.
He said: “Thank you, Dad, for believing in me in times when I didn’t even believe in myself, and for all the times when you have supported me no matter what I do.
“Even though we argue a lot, I still cherish every moment.
“I would just like to say thank you for everything you have done for me.”
Woods Jr won his first American Junior Golf Association event last month.
He sealed victory by three shots at the Team TaylorMade Invitational in Florida.
The huge result saw his AJGA ranking jump from No606 to No14.
Tiger featured in 13 AJGA tournaments as a youngster from 1991 to 1993, winning eight of them.
Charlie and his sister Sam are Tiger’s two kids with his ex-wife Elin Nordegren.
Sam, 17, is set to head to Stanford University in California this year after graduating from the prestigious Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
She is a talented soccer player rather than golfer.
Tiger and Erin divorced in 2010 after he admitted to infidelity.
He is now dating Donald Trump Jr’s ex-wife Vanessa.
The pair had originally hoped to keep their relationship under wraps, but decided to go public after rumors of their romance began to swirl.
President Trump revealed he was “very happy” for both of them, saying: “I love Tiger and I love Vanessa.
“He and I have a very special, very good relationship with Tiger.
“I played golf with him a couple of times over the last month, and he’s a fantastic guy and a fantastic athlete.”
