AN ex-boyfriend of cheerleader Laken Snelling has done a DNA test – more than a week after her newborn baby was found dead in a trash bag that was stowed in a closet.
Former University of Kentucky student Snelling, 21, is accused of covering up the birth and trying to hide evidence of it.

The baby was found on August 27 at an off-campus accommodation in Lexington and Snelling, later identified as the child’s mom, was arrested days later.
The father of the baby remains unknown, but Kentucky coroners revealed that the child is a boy.
It has since emerged that Snelling’s ex-partner, Izaiah Hall, has completed a DNA test, per the New York Post.
“Lexington police had him come down to the station to give a sample,” Justin Smith, his dad, told the outlet.
He admitted he didn’t know if Izaiah is the father of the baby.
Smith said the family had been told it would be a “couple of weeks” until they find out the results.
But, he refused to shed light on his son’s relationship with Snelling.
Hall, also 21, is a quarterback on the University of the Cumberlands Patriots team.
The athlete, who is six feet two inches tall, is majoring in business administration.
He didn’t compete during his freshman year in 2024.
Meanwhile, Snelling dropped out of university – just days after appearing in court.
She withdrew from the institution, which is a top university in the US, just days after the fall semester started.
Snelling was on the University of Kentucky’s STUNT team for the past three years.
Snelling faces three charges, including abuse of a corpse, concealing the birth of a child, and tampering with evidence.
She pleaded not guilty to the charges, but has been put under house arrest.
Snelling has been forced to live with her parents in Tennessee – located around 200 miles from the university where she was enrolled at.

Snelling had taken to social media to tease about potentially starting a family.
In a TikTok post from June, she appeared to tease her life goals.
She shared an emoji of a mother with a baby.
And, it emerged she joined a babysitting group on Facebook last year.
Footage that also resurfaced following Snelling’s arrest showed her expressing gratitude for her family.
