CHIPOTLE has announced a groundbreaking change to its delivery service.
Soon, burrito lovers will be able to see their meal literally float on over to their homes.

The beloved chain Chipotle Mexican Grill has confirmed it is going ahead with its partnership with Zipline – the world’s largest autonomous delivery system.
Through the new Zipotle service, deliveries will be made through automated drones which will fly to customers’ homes.
The fleet of small, zero-emissions aircraft – known as Zips – are whisper-quiet and work in tandem with larger drone devices.
They use cameras, sensors and Nvidia chips to avoid obstacles whilst in flight, making deliveries a breeze.
Capable of travelling 24 miles and lifting 8 pounds, the electronic drones can deliver up to seven times faster than cars stuck in traffic.
The incredible scheme launched on August 21, in Rowlett, Texas.
Customers across the rest of the country will be able to access the scheme soon.
Burrito fans in Rowlett just need to download the app and place their order as normal.
Chipotle workers will load the order onto a Zipping Point, where it will be lifted 300 feet into the air to a large drone.
The aircraft will fly to your house, before lowering the burrito to the ground on a card.
Zipline was launched in San Francisco and has worked with brands including Panera Bread and Sweetgreen.
It has also supported the delivery of medicines to rural hospitals in Rwanda, as well as 5000 hospitals around the world.
The news comes after Chipotle announced a major overhaul of how it produces meals.
Scott Boatwright, the brand’s CEO, announced that 3700 locations would be receiving a range of high-tech equipment.
The incredible tech includes a three-pan rice cooker, a dual-sided plancha grill and a high-capacity fryer.
Last year, some stores even received a guacamole-making robot known as the Autocado.
The device can cut, core and peel avocados in just 26 seconds, halving the time that it normally takes to make guacamole.
However, the Autocado was later pulled as the brand wanted to focus on “optimising” the device.
Chipotle’s high-tech approach to business

Chipotle is known for its high-tech approach to business.
The burrito brand previously used an avocado-making robot known as the Autocado.
Capable of peeling and dicing avocados in just 26 seconds, the machine was designed to speed up burrito making.
However, the brand has since pulled the device in order to optimise it.
Meanwhile, Chipotle is planning to use drone devices to deliver its food.
Partnering with Zipline, the company will be flying food to its customers in a bid to cut down delivery times.
The drones will fly 300ft in the air before lowering food down to your door.
