THE Cincinnati Bengals have reportedly made a decision regarding disgruntled star pass rusher Trey Hendrickson that has NFL teams looking to acquire him in a trade.
The four-time Pro Bowl defensive end and the Bengals have been in a contract dispute for multiple months.

On Sunday, it was reported that the Bengals are open to trading the All-Pro Hendrickson, per NFL Network.
It’s also been reported that the New England Patriots are one of the teams interested in Hendrickson, per The Athletic.
However, the price will be steep to acquire Hendrickson as the Bengals want a 2026 first-round pick and a young defensive player, the outlet also reported.
A potential trade doesn’t have to involve a pass rusher, the report added.
The latest reports on Hendrickson come after he requested a trade before skipping the early days of the Bengals’ training camp as he held out for a new contract.
But the reigning sack leader returned to the team’s facility to help with contract negotiations.
Still, the Bengals haven’t been willing to meet Hendrickson’s price due to a salary cap crunch.
The team signed star wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins to contract extensions totaling $276 million this offseason.
The pair accounts for a little less than 17 percent of the Bengals’ cap room.
Hendrickson has publicly shown his desire for a contract extension in Cincinnati.
He is due $16 million this season thanks to an extension in 2023.
Hendrickson has posted 17.5 sacks in each of his last two seasons with the Bengals.
He has been a Bengal since 2021.
Cincinnati will need Hendrickson as they are coming off a disappointing season on defense, even with him.
