The Browns play their opening preseason game against the Carolina Panthers.

And Sanders will line up under center for Cleveland.

The rookie was drafted in the fifth round of this year’s NFL Draft.

He has been part of a four-way quarterback battle for the starting spot vacated by the injured Deshaun Watson.

There have been fears Sanders might not even make the team’s 53-man roster.

But he’ll have an opportunity to showcase his skills in Week 1 of preseason.

One fan wrote, “This will be the most watched preseason game of all time.”

The team has been hit by a number of injuries in the quarterback room during training camp.

Joe Flacco, 40, is expected to be the starter once the season begins.

Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel, meanwhile, have both been dealing with hamstring injuries.

Sanders was also held out of practice last Saturday for shoulder soreness.

“I think every rep I get in general is valuable,” Sanders said this week.

“We’re definitely taking things up a notch I would say with everything. Every rep.

“Anytime I step on the field, I take it like it could be my last. You don’t know.

The injury problems led to Cleveland bringing in another quarterback.

Tyler Huntley, 27, was added to the depth chart.

He played four years for the Baltimore Ravens and was with the Miami Dolphins last season.

Sanders recently addressed why his father, NFL great Deion, has not attended training camp.

He claims he told Deion to stay away until he’s achieved some of his goals.

“You can’t be proud of me right now,” Sanders said.

“I got to get to where I’m going and I know its a lot.

“But I’ve got to do to get there.”
