Garrett, 29, was traveling at 100 mph in a 60 mph zone, according to court records.

He was pulled over at 2.01 am local time and given a $250 fine.

The Browns star will not have to appear in court Thursday if he pays the ticket.

According to ESPN, his NFL team is aware of the incident.

The Browns played the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte, North Carolina on Friday night.

Garrett sat out the preseason game but made the trip.

The incident follows Garrett’s teammate Sanders being twice pulled over by cops for speeding.

Sanders was issued tickets for driving 91 mph in a 65 mph zone, and going at 101 mph in a 60 mph zone.

The young quarterback was publicly called out by Browns general manager Andrew Berry.

“Not smart, just not smart,” he admitted.

“It’s something that we’ve addressed with him.

“Look, he understands the implications, he understands the consequences.

“It’s not just about yourself.

“It’s not just about having a joyride, but that you could injure other people.

“A deer or something cuts in front of you, your reaction time, it’s just dangerous.”

Garrett signed a new contract with the Browns this off-season worth $160 million over four years.

The defensive player has been in trouble for speeding before.

In 2022, there was at least seven reported instances where he was caught in Ohio.

He also suffered an injury in a single-car crash three years ago.

Garrett suffered a left shoulder sprain and right bicep strain after his car flipped over.

Ohio State Highway Patrol said he was traveling at “an unsafe speed for the type of roadway.”

A crash report obtained by ESPN says he was driving 65 mph in a 45 mph zone.

Garrett was cited for “failure to control his motor vehicle.”
