Rasheem Biles, 19, picked off a pass from Louisville quarterback Miller Moss, 23.
The Panthers linebacker returned the interception for a 75-yard touchdown.
Biles began dancing on the sidelines to celebrate his pick-six.
This triggered the Cardinals’ equipment personnel to snatch the football from Biles’ hands.
Biles and his sophomore teammate Isaiah Neal wrestled with the ball boy.
The ball popped out of the snatcher’s grasp, with Neal launching the football over his head.
Someone on the sidelines handed the ball back to Biles, who then tossed the ball into the crowd.
Fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts on the bizarre incident.
“Pitt players went to WAR with this Louisville ball boy after their pick six oh my god,” one posted.
“Why was the ball dude wilding like that? I cannot stop laughing,” another added.
The Panthers made a strong start against the Cardinals to score 17 unanswered points in the first quarter.
They would add another ten points before half-time to extend their lead.
However, this would be Pittsburgh’s final points as the Cardinals mounted a legendary comeback.
The Cardinals finished strong as they clinched a 34-27 win.

“These are the kind of ball boys I want on my sideline. These are the kind of ball boys I want on my sideline,” a third fan said.
Louisville remain undefeated so far during the 2025 college football season.
The Cardinals claimed three dominant non-Atlantic Coast Conference wins before facing the Panthers.
Meanwhile, this result follows Pittsburgh’s overtime loss against the West Virginia Mountaineers last week.
