College football team in major broadcast change with entire state getting free access to live games

THE University of Hawai’i has announced that every home Rainbow Warriors game will be available to watch live on TV for the first time.

The huge change will make games more accessible than ever.

Hawai’i athletic director Matt Elliott revealed the news in a statement on Monday.

He said: “For decades, UH football home games that weren’t nationally televised, could only be seen on a pay-per-view basis or delayed basis.

“But not this season. I’m proud to announce, for the first time ever, all of our home football games this season will be televised live.

“So maybe take that pay-per-view money and buy tickets to one or more of our games this season.

“Let’s fill the Ching. Bring the energy and make so much noise that they hear UH games all the way on Maui.”

Elliott concluded: “I can’t promise what next season will bring as we negotiate new TV contracts, with most of our other teams joining our football team in the Mountain West.

“But for this season, UH football is yours for free.

“Because the Rainbow Warriors are our team, Hawai’i’s team. Maholo and let’s go, Bows.”

Meanwhile, UH Football head coach Timmy Chang said: “Hawai’i football is YOUR TEAM, the entire state of Hawai’i.

“Our team carries the pride, the history, and the aloha of our islands everyday we train, every time we take the field.

“Now, the whole state gets to watch and feel the passion of every game. Go Warriors!”

Hawai’i kick off their 2025 season with a home game against Stanford next weekend.

The remaining six home games will be available to watch via both Spectrum and Hawaiian Telcom.
