The company has released a one year version of the model and a five year version, offering four different connection speeds, 300 Mbps, 500 Mbps, 1 Gbps and 2 Gpbs.

Mbps and Gbps refers to megabytes of gigabytes per second, a measure of internet connection speed.

Both of these plans come with a price guarantee and WiFi that “set a new standard”, according to COO Steve Croney.

He said: “We said we were going to go ‘all-in’ on a new pricing strategy and we are delivering with our 5-year price lock and our new everyday price plans.

“Now all our Xfinity Internet packages are built on simplicity and transparency – no hidden fees, no confusion – just the best, most reliable and secure WiFi that sets a new standard for the ultimate connected experience.”

The Xfinity packages have the capacity to connect hundreds of devices in one home, while offering you cyber security protection.

Through the use of the redesigned app, parents have access to accessible controls to set the content their child watches.

Both of these plans also come with a free year of Xfinity Mobile, giving users the ultimate WiFi speed with its WiFi PowerBoost.

No matter what plan you choose, it can increase connection speeds up to one gig.

This speed provides a download speed of 37.5 MB per second, and can comfortably handle several users on the internet at once.
