LIVERPOOL are facing Crystal Palace for the Community Shield RIGHT NOW – and the tie has gone to penalties.
The Merseyside outfit made the perfect start at Wembley after Hugo Ekitike bagged his first goal for the club inside four minutes.
Palace got back on level terms 13 minutes later as Jean-Philippe Mateta equalised from the penalty spot.
20 minutes and 20 seconds in, Arne Slot‘s side were back in front as Jeremie Frimpong’s cross flew past Dean Henderson, just as Liverpool fans were paying tribute to the late Diogo Jota, who wore the No20 for the Reds.
Late in the second half, Ismaila Sarr’s stunning finish put the Eagles back on level terms and took the tie to penalties.
