‘Contaminated’ daily vitamins sold at Aldi, BJ’s and online recalled over allergy fears – shoppers can get a full refund

But now, the US Food and Drug Administration is warning customers that the popular supplements are sparking allergy fears.

The vitamins, sold in stores and online, have been recalled after potentially being tainted by peanuts, which are not on the ingredients list.

Aldi discovered the possible contamination while conducting routine testing to confirm the product had accurate labels.

One test found a potential presence of peanuts, the FDA said.

No allergic reactions have been reported so far, but the recall was issued out of caution.

The allergy alert impacts Vita-Warehouse Corp.’s products.

The brands Welby, Berkley-Jensen, and VitaGlobe are affected.

Vita’s internal testing didn’t find any presence of peanuts, despite Aldi’s concerns.

One lot of Welby brand’s Vitamin B12 Energy Support gummy product 1000 mcg, which has 140 gummies in the bottle, is recalled.

Another lot of Berkeley Jensen’s Vitamin B12 1000 mcg 250 Gummies gummies are recalled, as well as VitaGlobe’s Vitamin B12 Extra Strength 60 Gummies.

People with allergies or severe sensitivity to peanuts could face serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they take these gummies, the FDA said.

Customers who are allergic to peanuts and have bought the products can return them to the store where they got them for a full refund.

It’s unclear if customers will have to prove that they’re allergic to peanuts.

Vita-Warehouse Corp. hasn’t returned The U.S. Sun’s request for comment.
