THE 911 audio from the violent altercation that led to the stabbing of ex-NFL player Mark Sanchez has been released.
The 38-year-old was hospitalised with critical stab wounds on Saturday morning but is in a stable condition following the altercation between himself and a man in downtown Indianapolis.

Cops arrested Sanchez in the hospital for battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle, and public intoxication.
The other person involved in the incident was treated for lacerations, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said.
He told officers he was acting in self-defense when Sanchez was stabbed.
Now, the 911 dispatch call to officers responding to the incident has been obtained by TMZ.
In the early morning audio, officers were instructed to have the Loughmiller’s Pub & Eatery “locked down” and treated like a crime scene.
The actual incident took place in a nearby alley when an argument allegedly broke out between the two men over a parking space.
In the audio, officers search for surveillance cameras in a hunt for evidence and can be heard asking the bar to be “locked down”.
“Treat it as a crime scene, we don’t want anybody in or out for now,” one officer says.
This shutdown was extended to the alley with one officer saying, “they have good cameras of this alley”.
In the audio, officers can be heard confirming that one person had been stabbed and that they needed an extra medic and squad car.
The second man involved in the altercation is 69-years-old and sustained “significant injuries”, Fox News affiliate WXIN reported, citing police sources.
According to the source, the pair got into an argument over the man’s decision to park his grease disposal truck near the alley, blocking it off.
They added that the ex-NFL star was behaving bizarrely before the stabbing by doing sprints in the area.
Sanchez has not yet commented on what took place.
The former Jets quarterback who played in the NFL for a decade has not yet been booked into jail as he remains in hospital.
He was in town to analyse Sunday’s game between the Colts and Raiders for Fox Sports.
“Mark Sanchez was injured in Indianapolis on Saturday and is currently recovering in the hospital in stable condition,” the outlet said.
“We are deeply grateful to the medical team for their exceptional care and support.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark, and we ask that everyone please respect his and his family’s privacy during this time.”
He has been replaced for the broadcast of the game by analyst Brady Quinn, Fox has confirmed.
