Costco fans rave over ‘delicious’ product sold for just $11.34 warning it’s ‘too dangerous to buy’

COSTCO regulars have warned fellow shoppers about getting hooked on a “dangerous” product sold for $11.34.

It’s been slated as “sinful, addictive, and by far the most sinister product ever sold at Costco.”

Described as having a melt-in-the-mouth texture, the Kirkland Butter Cinnamon Sugar Loaf is ‘sinful’ warn fans[/caption]

The item that has got shoppers raving on social media is Costco‘s Butter Cinnamon Sugar Loaf.

But that’s only because they can’t get enough of the moreish treat – with some confessing to guzzling an entire loaf in one sitting!

Fans warned on Reddit that the cinnamon-filled treat is “simultaneously delicious, addicting, and dangerous.”

One woman joked on the platform, “My roommates have called me “evil” and the ‘the Devil’ for bringing it into the house and have eaten most of it for me.”

Her comment prompted a fellow fan to reply, “Entirely one of the most sinful things the Costco bakery has pumped out in recent memory. Outstanding.”

And another shopper admitted, “We bought it on a Saturday and it was gone by Sunday afternoon!! We are a household of two.

“That thing is the devil and addicting. Since then we have fought really hard not to buy it because it is dangerous.”

There was also a word of warning from one eager customer, who ended up feeling very sick after over-indulging.

They wrote, “I’m sitting here today in stomach pain agony because I ate so much if it last night!

“I also fried a slice in a pan with butter and served vanilla ice cream on top, oh my god it was worth the pain.”

Alternative recommendations include enjoying a slice of it with your morning coffee or use a portion for making French toast.

However, Kirkland’s signature butter cinnamon sugar loaf isn’t recommended to be consumed all at once – it contains a total 5,000 gut-busting calories.

Its main ingredients is sugar, followed by wheat flour, butter, eggs, brown sugar, and cinnamon.

There’s a strong cinnamon flavor all the way through. Every crumb. Like a cinnamon Alcatraz

A relieved shopper joked, “I’m lucky our local Costco stopped selling this. Has saved me 15 lbs easily.”

One Costco fan replied, “I made the mistake of getting a loaf last week. Never again!

“It’s now in the same category as those Reese’s animal crackers, and salted caramels as things I am not allowed to bring home or my pants won’t fit.”

TIPS

But another sharp-eyed Reddit user noted, “There’s conveniently an Ozempic ad right below this post.”

This prompted one person to respond, “I don’t think Ozempic is going to help any of us after this.”

To avoid stomach pain – not to mention the guilt of overeating – several suggested “immediately slicing the loaf, individually wrapping the pieces, place in the freezer, and forget.”

Why is Costco’s Butter Cinnamon Sugar Loaf so addictive?

If you don’t love cinnamon, this treat is not for you, says one impressed food reviewer

Snarkle-Sauce on Wry‘s review said, “It’s legitimately mind-blowing.

“As Costco’s newest ‘loaf cake,’ this dude is essentially a butter pound cake with cinnamon mixed into the batter, and a coating of more concentrated cinnamon-butter-stuff around the outside.

“The cake has a desperately addictive flavor that compelled me to eat 1/4 the loaf within the first 24 hours of bringing it home.

“I do like the buttery cinnamon coating. It’s made with coarse granulated sugar, which gives it a sparkling texture change from the rest of the cake.

“The coating starts out crisp, but softens as the cake ages, and becomes like a textured icing.

“There’s a strong cinnamon flavor all the way through. Every crumb. Like a cinnamon Alcatraz.”

Elsewhere on the platform there are numerous threads dedicated to the product, including one which stated, “WARNING: avoid the cinnamon butter loaf.”

“So, so, so bad. Crunchy buttery cinnamony badness,” lamented one person.

Others joked that it “by far the most sinister food product ever sold at Costco” and simply “a taste of heaven.”

DESSERT OR BREAKFAST?

The cinnamon loaf has also been at the heart of an “eccentric review” by Snarkle-Sauce on Wry.

The food writer – who has no affiliation with Costco – raved, “When I popped the first bite of this cake into my mouth, my immediate thought was: it’s absurdly tender.

“And now, after eating half the loaf, I still can’t get over how melt-in-my-mouth the texture is. It’s legitimately mind-blowing.

“I would describe this as a type of coffee cake. Or maybe ‘breakfast cake.’

“If you choose to serve this as a dessert, it will likely need some enhancements, such as ice cream, fruit, or a flavored sauce.”

The question is, will this loaf become as popular as the chain’s iconic $1.50 hotdog and soda deal?
