COSTCO is one of the last options for shoppers who want to buy Yves Veggie Cuisine.
The Canadian plant-based food brand has been scrapped by Walmart and Kroger shelves.

The Walmart website is no longer selling the brand’s Meatless Deli Bologna Slice or the veggie burger.
It comes during a year of popular products being discounted at major retailers, including at Costco.
In July, the warehouse chain stopped selling Maldon Salt on shelves.
But right now, Costco is the main place where shoppers can find Yves products, according to an eagle-eyed Reddit user.
They wrote online that Yves is a “lifeline” brand for them, and now they have to drive to their nearby Costco to stock up.
The Reddit user said: “This is a huge deal for me as I live in a small community whose local grocery store carries only a small selection of Yves products that have been a lifeline for me.
“The store will be unlikely to replace these and I’m not too sure what my options will be be short of making a monthly trip to a nearby Costco and stocking up / freezing Beyond products.”
TOUGH CALL
Yves’ parent company, Hain Celestial Group, has since spoken out over the discontinuation.
It confirmed that the decline of the market was one of the key factors behind the decision.
A spokesperson told CBC: “This decision was not made lightly.
“The meat-free category has been declining for several years, which led to the business becoming increasingly challenging and difficult to sustain.”
They concluded by thanking the customers for their commitment to the Yves brand over the years.
GONE FOR GOOD
A product could be discontinued for any number of reasons, like if it isn’t selling well or if there are supply chain issues.
Chains like Trader Joe’s have discontinued several products recently, including its Pancake Bread, Thai Sweet Chili Veggie Burgers and Chocolate Hummus.

STRONG REACTION
Recently, a Starbucks customer was moved to tears when she found out that the coffeehouse chain had stopped serving her favorite drink.
She went in for a Summer Berries drink, only to be told that the special deal had expired.
In an emotional social media clip, she called on chains to give shoppers warning before things like this happen.
Starbucks has come under fire this year for discontinuing a large portion of its drinks menu.
On March 4, the chain axed 13 of its drinks as a way to push the brand forward, according to its website.
