A COSTCO worker issued a brief warning about a store change that is making life difficult.
The retailer is rolling out the red carpet for certain shoppers, giving them exclusive access to the store before anyone else.

Executive Members will now be able to access the store from 9am every day, starting from Monday, July 1.
Holly Dickey White, a Costco employee, shared news about the rule on her Facebook page
“Now please know that as employees we found out about this at the same time you did!” White wrote.
She added that employees weren’t asked if the change was a good idea and that the change is “making like difficult.”
“So for the near future please be kind to our Costco employees, we have a lot of our plates (that we didn’t ask for) and we are trying very hard to have good attitudes about it while taking care of our members,” said White.
She also cautioned customers against berating workers, telling them to instead “greet us with a smile, it will help, I promise!!”
White added that Costco is still a great employer and that workers will have to adjust to the new hours.
“So my Holly Wisdom for today… Bring a dose of patience, a smile and if you are feeling it, a kind word, you will make someone’s day! And you will feel better too!!”
EARLY HOURS
Costco revealed the new rules in a tongue-in-cheek social media post showcasing the premium experience you can get.
It shows a car rolling up to a red carpet, with a man dressed in a suit getting out for the early 9am opening time.
The video also shows the shopper scanning his membership card before entering.
Despite this, many in the comments of Costco’s Facebook post showed their excitement at the new policy.
One person said: “And the award for the best advertisement goes to.”
And another joked: “Excellent, now I won’t have to shop with the peasants.”
But many highlighted the extra hour you get to shop at Sam’s Club, as well as the flaws with Costco’s current store policy.
A critic pointed out: “I’m already in and out of Sam’s club by 9am!”
While someone else highlighted: “So I’ll stop at 8 o’clock at Sam’s Club and then head on over to Costco at 9 got it!”
Others had suggestions to make the new Costco policy even better for shoppers: “Listen.. I’m only coming early if the samples are out!
“Otherwise I’m waiting til noon.”
Another comment pointed out the possibly impractical 9am time: “I’m so surprised I didn’t find any comments about my very first thought when I heard about this new feature: are most people not at work at 9am…?
“I know I would never grocery shop at 9am, that is a very impractical time for me.”
The U.S. Sun has reached out to Costco for comment.
