Country singer Ronnie McDowell is in hospital after being rushed off-stage mid-concert.
The 75-year-old crooner was performing at Summer Solstice Music Festival in Oley, Pennsylvania on Saturday when he started to fall ill shortly after the start of his set.

After three or four songs, the singer was pulled off stage by his manager[/caption]
According to WKRN – a radio station in Nashville, Tennessee – his speech began to sound “off” around three to four songs into his performance.
His tour manager told the station he had pulled Ronnie off stage to ask him if he was feeling right, and when he answered “no” stopped the show.
He noted that Ronnie had claimed he feared he was having a stroke.
Ronnie, famed for songs including Older Women and You’re Going To Ruin My Bad Reputation, was then taken to hospital, with his family notified so they could join him.
A post on McDowell’s official Facebook page came shortly after, and read: “Please keep Ronnie in your thoughts and prayers. The Family is updating on their personal platforms.”
True to their word, Ronnie’s son, Tyler Dean McDowell – a fellow musician who works alongside his father – posted his own statement on Sunday, updating worried fans about how he was doing.
“I know you’re all concerned. I promise—no one is more worried than I am,” he wrote.
“Please understand, this is an incredibly stressful time, and right now, my focus is on my Dad.
“If there’s anything that needs to be shared, I promise—we will. If you can, pray.”
A few hours after this post, Tyler posted an update sharing that Ronnie was awake and awaiting more information.
“Just wanted to let everyone know — I made it to Pennsylvania. Ronnie Dean & I are in the room with Dad,” he wrote.
“He’s talking to us, and we’re waiting to do the MRI. As soon as I know more, so will y’all. Love Forever.”
A second update read: “Brought dad some Popcorners and a Kombucha (snacks he likes).
“Ronnie Dean brought his comfy shoes, favorite brush, and Vietnam hat.
“Dad was very excited about all this — like a kid in a candy store. Figured y’all could use a lil’ levity.”
