A number of NFL fans feared the Cincinnati Bengals legend would soon be calling time on his career as an analyst.

According to The Athletic, however, NBC and the former wide receiver agreed on an extension that will run until the 2029-30 season.

That puts Collinsworth on track to finish his career calling Super Bowl 64.

The same source previously reported the former NFL star makes about $12.5million per year.

Collinsworth has won seven Emmy Awards for Outstanding Sports Studio Analyst.

And back in 2023, the New York Times wrote: “He has solidified his place as football’s most sagacious color commentator.”

However, Collinsworth hasn’t been immune from criticism throughout the years.

Several NFL fans previously accused him of being biased.

They claimed Collinsworth favoured the likes of Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Nevertheless, the NBC star is not leaving the booth any time soon.

And he will definitely be around to call this year’s Super Bowl.
