DALLAS Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer got hit with criticism over his attire at Monday’s press conference.
One of sports media’s top personalities called out the first-year head coach.

FS1 host Colin Cowherd hasn’t been afraid to question Schottenheimer and his status with the Cowboys this offseason.
Recently, the analyst even shared the possibility of the iconic Nick Saban being a fit for the Cowboys’ head coaching.
So on Monday, Cowherd called attention to Schottenheimer’s appearance during a recent Cowboys press conference.
Schottenheimer wore a backward visor, which Cowherd slammed him for during Monday’s edition of The Herd.
“You know I don’t like backward hats,” Cowherd said alongside Jason McIntyre.
“You know what is worse? A backward visor.
“That’s a two-win team, I am taking away four wins. That’s awful, that’s so bad.”
Cowherd then addressed that fans have scolded his past and still-believed opinion that appearance matters when it comes to being one of the faces of an NFL franchise.
“I know everybody gets mad at this. I only really care… For instance, Bank of America is behind him. It’s a big sponsor.
“I do think if you are the quarterback or head coach of an organization, and you do press conferences, you are not only representing yourself.
“You are representing the Dallas Cowboys, and you are representing Bank of America. That’s probably a huge team sponsor.”
He later said during his tirade, “So when you sit in front of a podium, you are representing Bank of America. You are representing a 12 billion dollar corporation.
“… I think you have got to do better as a head coach than a visor backwards. That’s just my take.”
Schottenheimer’s the latest sports figure to be criticized by Cowherd over wearing a backwards hat.

In the past, Cowherd has ridiculed rookie Shedeur Sanders and Baker Mayfield, among others, over the same attire decision.
Nonetheless, NFL fans shared their disagreement with Cowherd’s take on Schottenheimer’s headwear at the press conference.
“Stop being ridiculous,” one wrote.
“LMAO! Man! There’s nothing wrong with the visor. He’s a coach. Normally, you have some good takes. Not this one,” a second said.

Fans also made sure to note that Cowherd hasn’t publicly ripped Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn for wearing backwards hats at press conferences, and that NFL legend Bill Belichick regularly wore hoodies to interview and still won six Super Bowls.
“When Dan Quinn wears backwards you never heard @colincowherd
say s***,” one wrote.
“Belichick represented the Kraft family and he wore a hoodie. Harbaugh wears Walmart khakis,” a second added.
