They have made a record-breaking statement as the 2025 NFL season kicks off.
The Colts’ incredible performance saw them score with every possession against the Dolphins.
This is the first time that a team has achieved this feat in the NFL since 1977.
Quarterback Daniel Jones, 28, was the star of the show for the hosts as he ran in two touchdowns.
He also completed a pass to wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr., 27, for a 27-yard touchdown.
Spencer Shrader, 26, slotted four field goals as the Colts stormed past the Dolphins.
It was a long day for the Dolphins as they were forced to wait until the fourth quarter to register on the scoreboard.
Running back De’Von Achane, 23, finally ended the drought for the visitors, with Tua Tagovailoa, 27, passing for a two-point conversion.
It is a promising start to a new era for the Colts as Jones makes his mark.
The quarterback has arrived in Indianapolis from the Minnesota Vikings.
He was selected with the sixth pick of the 2019 NFL Draft by the New York Giants, where he would spend six years.
Jones’ arrival in Indianapolis has sparked excitement as they look to end a period of mediocrity.
The Colts’ last play-off appearance came in 2020, with high hopes that they can return to their former glory this year.
I don’t think it was surprising to us,” Jones said. “I mean, we’ve had a lot of confidence based on our preparation and the work we put in through training camp.”
“You’ve always got to go out there and do it on the field and perform, so there’s that element to it.”
