PATRICK Mahomes received a shocking snub from a prestigious honor after his Madden 26 rating was revealed.

Mahomes put together a stellar season in 2024, finishing the regular season with 3,928 passing yards, 26 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.

He also led the Chiefs to a third consecutive Super Bowl appearance before losing to the Philadelphia Eagles, 40-22.

When EA Sports’ Madden 26 released the rating of the league’s players on Wednesday, fans expected the two-time NFL MVP Mahomes to be part of the “99 Club,” which refers to an elite group of players who receive the highest possible rating of 99 in the video game.

But EA’s rating team handed the three-time Super Bowl MVP a 95 overall rating, which is the fourth among quarterbacks.

It was revealed that Mahomes ranks behind Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, both of whom have a 99 rating, and Joe Burrow (97).

NFL fans were quick to share their grievances with Mahomes’ Madden ranking.

“Mahomes at 4 is wild,” one wrote.

“What a joke of a list ranking Mahomes fourth,” another commented.

“Mahomes disrespect is crazy,” a third added.

“He was in the Super Bowl against a super team, and he’s still not a 99?” a fourth asked.

Mahomes had been given a 99 rating in the two years.

He has also been part of the “99 club” in three of the last four years.

Still, fans’ belief that Mahomes’ 95 rating is a snub just shows how high the standard is for the 29-year-old.

Mahomes is still widely considered the best quarterback in the league.

A recent poll by ESPN revealed Mahomes to be the top quarterback.

He received 60 percent of the first-place votes.

But Madden ranked Mahomes lower than the 2024 MVP Allen, two-time MVP Jackson, and 2024 Comeback Player of the Year Burrow.

It’s worth noting, however, that Allen, Jackson, and Burrow had relatively better seasons than Mahomes and all received more votes in the 2024-25 NFL AP MVP voting.
