In Week 1 of the college football season, Day ‘s Ohio State Buckeyes took down the Texas Longhorns 14-7.
However, it was what happened before the game that caught many fans’ attention.
A photo went viral on social media from Day’s pregame interview that seemingly showed a nipple piercing through his shirt.
Fans went wild after seeing this and shared their thoughts on social media.
“College football never disappoints,” one fan said.
“Did he get a nipple piercing,” another fan said.
“Oh def got his nips pierced in the off season,” a third fan said.
“Wait… what am I looking at here,” a fourth fan said.
“Didn’t have Ryan Day with a pierced nipple on my 2025 bingo card,” a fifth fan said.
While fans had their fun with the picture, it was soon revealed to be fake.
A screenshot from Day’s interview was posted showing that he did not have a nipple piercing.
“Wow what’s happening this fake Ryan Day pic is going nuts but Rupp45 cracks the case it’s a fake pic!” one fan posted.
Other pictures from throughout the day also appear to confirm that the nipple piercing post was a fake.

It was a defensively dominated game, with only 21 total points scored in the contest.
