LEADING college basketball coach Bruce Pearl has claimed Donald Trump should be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize after the announcement of a ceasefire between Iran and Isreal.
Trump told of the news that a ceasefire agreement has been made between the two nations on Truth Social on Monday afternoon.

The agreement came after Iran fired missiles at a US base in Qatar in response to the bombing of three nuclear sites at the weekend.
Following Trump’s post detailing a ceasefire, Auburn basketball coach Peal commended the President for being a “peace maker”.
The 64-year-old coach wrote online: “This is what a peace maker and the leader of the free world does.
“He steps in when both sides can’t agree and he gives them an offer they can’t refuse.
“He should be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. I pray that all sides can offer some grace and keep the peace.”
At present, it is unclear what offer President Trump has made to strike an agreement between Iran and Isreal.
Pearl, former head coach of Tennessee and Milwaukee, has regularly been vocal of his support of Trump on social media.
Following the news of the US bombing of Iranian nuclear sites, Pearl wrote on X: “Thank you Mr president for your strength and vision, keeping us safe. Proud of our troops!
“You did what no one has had the courage to do for far too long.
“You were patient and clear.
“Pray for Peace through prosperity in the Middle East, expand now on the AA. You prevented a War.”
Pearl has been Auburn Basketball head coach since 2014, leading the team to NCAA D1 Final Four this year.
While he was also named the NABC Division I coach of the year for 2025.
