The US President pledged to “do major sanctions on Russia” – on condition that all Nato countries agree to stop buying oil from the tyrant’s regime.

He said on Truth Social: “I am ready to do major Sanctions on Russia when all NATO Nations have agreed, and started, to do the same thing, and when all NATO Nations STOP BUYING OIL FROM RUSSIA.”
Trump also claimed that Nato’s commitment to ending Putin’s war had so far been “far less than 100%”.
He also slammed members of the defence alliance purchasing Russian oil, saying it was “shocking”.
Promising he was steadfast in his commitment to end the war as soon as possible, Trump added: “Anyway, I am ready to ‘go’ when you are. Just say when?”
And he also called on Nato to impose sanctions on China, emphasising that Xi Jinping was funding Putin’s war machine.
The Don said: “I believe that this, plus NATO, as a group, placing 50% to 100% TARIFFS ON CHINA, to be fully withdrawn after the WAR with Russia and Ukraine is ended, will also be of great help in ENDING this deadly, but RIDICULOUS, WAR.”
He added: “China has a strong control, and even grip, over Russia, and these powerful Tariffs will break that grip.”
Trump also wrote in his post that the war was “Biden’s and Zelenskyy’s”.
He said: “It would never have started if I was President!”
Trump also promised: “If NATO does as I say, the WAR will end quickly, and all of those lives will be saved!
“If not, you are just wasting my time, and the time, energy, and money of the United States.”
It comes after Polish and allied forces shot down Russian drones over Nato airspace.
The country’s PM Donald Tusk called the situation: “The closest we have been to open conflict since World War Two.”
More Nato countries have since vowed to move more troops to the bloc’s eastern front as tensions with Russia continue to reach boiling point.
While Ukraine is not a member of the alliance, Nato countries including Britain have been vital supporters of Kyiv since the full-scale invasion in 2022.
The Kremlin dismissed the drone incursion as “political clickbait“.
As a member state of Nato, Poland is protected by the Article 5 agreement, meaning an attack on one is deemed an attack on all.
If a Nato member attacked by Russia chose to invoke this clause, the whole of the alliance – which includes the US, the UK, France and Germany – would be obliged to join in the fight.
After this week’s attack, Warsaw instead opted to trigger Article 4, which brings member states together to discuss an active threat without going to war.
Trump’s latest post aims to put pressure on Nato allies to double down on sanctions against Russia to force Putin into serious talks.
The US President previously said his patience with the Russian despot wss “running out fast” following this week’s drone attack.
Meanwhile, Russian forces continue to routinely carry out barbaric airstrikes against Ukraine’s cities.
