Driver files claim with Geico four days after ‘$146k Range Rover vanished’ – but car never existed in the first place

A DRIVER has been arrested after claiming her Range Rover was stolen from a strip club in 2022.

After years of investigating, police finally accused her of faking the whole thing — because the car never even existed in the first place.

Tiffany Sapphire Noakes, 39, faces felony charges of grand theft and insurance fraud of $100,000 or more after an alleged insurance scheme gone wrong.

In May 2022, Noakes allegedly told police her car was stolen from the Cheetah Gentlemen’s Club while she was visiting with friends in Hallandale Beach, Florida, between Fort Lauderdale and Miami.

Five days later, court documents say she reported the claim to auto insurance company Geico, ABC affiliate WPLG reported.

Noakes claimed her 2020 Range Rover was stolen from the parking lot of the strip club.

She allegedly filed a claim valued at $146,315. A 2020 Range Rover is worth around $85,000 at most, according to Edmunds.

Then an investigator with Geico found out that the address Noakes listed on her insurance policy was a UPS store in West Palm Beach, police said.

It was then revealed that Noakes actually lived in New Jersey.

Police said cellphone records showed she made the insurance claim while she was in New Jersey.

License plate camera readers in the Florida area then exposed that the license plate number that Noakes claimed wasn’t attached to a Range Rover.

Geico officials couldn’t find the car’s vehicle identification number in Land Rover’s database.

Cops said Geico gave Noakes a $1,500 car rental reimbursement check before the truth came to light.

It’s unclear if Geico ever paid the massive claim.

Geico didn’t immediately return The U.S. Sun’s request for comment.

Cops arrested Noakes last Thursday, according to jail records.

Car insurance tips

Here are some ways to lower monthly car insurance rates:

  • Increase the deductible – this may increase the amount drivers must pay in an accident
  • Ask insurance carriers for discounts
  • Slow down on the road
  • Keep off the cell phone behind the wheel
  • Improve credit scores (in some states)
  • Bundle insurance policies

She remains behind bars in Broward County a week later.

Noakes is on a $60,000 bond in the facility, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.

BCSO didn’t immediately return The U.S. Sun’s request for police records.

Noakes currently works as a merchandise contractor at Crossmark, a retail merchandising company in New Jersey, according to her LinkedIn profile.

She also works as a freelance event planner.

Before working at Crossmark, Noakes reportedly worked for a parking authority and services department.
