“I used oven cleaner to lift oil stains out of my driveway,” the TikToker named Artemis (@artemis8390) wrote on the screen of her video.

“I think it needs another few doses.”

In the video, viewers can see massive grease stains all over the driveway.

Artemis then takes her hose and sprays the driveway down as she attempts to clean up the oily mess.

“Any tips would be appreciated,” she wrote.

“I plan on renting a power washer if this doesn’t work.”

Artemis continued to spray the driveway down with her hose as she pleaded with TikTok users for help cleaning the stains.

Luckily, TikTok users were quick to come to the rescue with one woman recommending a $4 product sold at Walmart.

“There’s this stuff called purple power, it works good,” one woman commented.

The Purple Power concentrated industrial cleaner can be purchased for $3.88 at Walmart and has over 404 reviews, rating the product an average of 4.5 stars.

The description of the product says that it helps get rid of grease, gunk, and more.

“I take adequate care of my old car, but dust and general grime accumulate through the years,” one Purple Power user commented on Walmart’s website.

“Lately I noticed my steering wheel — that textured rubberized kind — was pretty dirty…This cleaner/degreaser was a fair price and easy to tack onto my grocery order, so I gave it a try. And it worked wonderfully!”

The car owner went on to say that they used basic rubber gloves to protect his hands, grabbed a sponge, and began cleaning.

How often should you clean your car?

Professionals recommend an interval that may be surprising when cleaning your car.

Depending on where you live and what your typical day looks like, the suggested interval for cleaning a vehicle is every two weeks.

“Regularly washing your car removes everyday contaminants like tar, road debris, and bird droppings that can ruin your car’s paint job over time,” wrote Progressive.

“But there’s no one right answer to this question — it depends on factors like your lifestyle, the climate where you live, and how you store your vehicle when you’re not driving it.”

However, if applying a fresh coat of wax after every cleaning session or if the vehicle is parked in a garage, cleaning may not have to be done as regularly.

“Waxing your car creates a barrier between your clear coat – the layer on top of the paint – and outside elements, so it won’t be able to absorb and affect the exterior of your car,” the site continued.

“The dirt and oil came off easily, and instead of being a yucky greyish beige, my steering wheel is now the deep gray color it’s supposed to be and even feels clean,” they wrote.

“I couldn’t just rinse with water, so I used wet paper towels to make sure I got all the cleaner off, and I’m good to go.”

The car owner said he’s “definitely” keeping the Purple Power on hand for any future cleaning needs.

Other users said they used it to clean their kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms.

“Fabulous product. It’s an excellent spot remover,” one user commented.

“I have trouble keeping it in the laundry room where I use it for stains and grease on items to be washed. My husband ‘borrows’ it to use for cleaning outside!!”
