DANCING with the Stars judge Derek Hough has subtly leaked a highly-demanded theme night, but at the same time told fans “careful what you wish for!”.
The former DWTS pro-dancer, 40, moved over to the judges panel during Season 29 in 2020, and has been there ever since.

Derek is getting ready to return to the famous panel next week, and fans are keen to know what’s in store for season 34.
The dancer then sent them into meltdown when he commented on a TikTok video that was begging DWTS to do a Wicked theme night.
Not missing a bit, Derek replied in the comments: “Careful what you wish for.” Followed by a wink.
Responding a fan said to the TV star: “Derek don’t play with us!”
To which he replied: “You think I’m playin’.”
Fans went crazy for this new information, with one writing: “Please don’t play I would faint if this happened!”
While another begged: “Please, please, please!”
EX-HOST TO RETURN?
This isn’t the first time that Derek has teased fans with what could be coming up in season 34 of DWTS.
It came after he shared an interesting comment about ex-host Tom Bergeron potentially returning to the show.
The former DWTS presenter, 70, stepped away from his hosting duties in 2020, after a disagreement with producers over former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer’s controversial casting the season prior.
Tom’s departure, alongside his co-host Erin Andrews, 47, was a shock as he had been on the show for 15 years.
However, he might be making a comeback to the DWTS stage at some point in the new series, according to a telling remark Derek left while responding to a fan on Instagram.
It came after a news article was shared, revealing that Tom was interested in returning to the show for one night this upcoming season.
This year marks the series’ 20th anniversary, so fans believed a reunion could be in the cards for the OG host.

One fan expressed in the comments that they’d abandoned the show since Tom left, but would give it another chance if Tom was back.
This caught the eye of Derek, who teased, “You’ll be very happy this season, especially later on ;).”
While the choreographer didn’t give details, fans shared their hopes that he meant Tom would appear this season in an online thread.
“Don’t tease me like this! I would cry literal tears of joy if Tom is back on my TV on the show,” one person wrote.
“Yeah from reading his recent interview I heavily suspect he will be involved in some way. He had said he told Conrad his idea,” another pointed out, mentioning original showrunner Conrad Green.
“I miss him a lot. The show changed so much since he left,” said a third.
Derek’s sister and former DWTS pro Julianne Hough, 37, currently co-hosts the show alongside Alfonso Ribeiro, 53.
