In photos from the event, Emily, 42, posed for the cameras, showcasing her petite frame in the skintight ensemble.
The dress hugged her figure and teased some cleavage, exposing her sideboob in the low-cut, swoop neck top.
Her attire was held together by thick gold straps and accessorized with gold jewelry.
Emily completed the look with her dark brunette shoulder-length locks flowing straight down and minimal makeup.
Fans are expecting to see Emily onscreen quite a bit in the coming months as she has multiple projects preparing for release.
Her newest film, The Smashing Machine, had its world premiere at the elite festival, ahead of its October 3 theatrical release.
The London native also reprised her role in the sequel to the classic 2006 dramedy, The Devil Wears Prada, in which she plays Miranda Priestly’s snooty assistant, Emily Charlton.
THE DEVIL RETURNS
Filming for the highly anticipated movie began earlier this summer in New York City, with Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Stanley Tucci also reprising their iconic characters.
Just days ago, photos of Anne taking a nasty tumble down a stone staircase while sporting black high heels on set circulated the Internet.
Although the mishap isn’t surprising for Anne’s clumsy character, Andrea Sachs, who’d do anything to impress her ruthless boss, Miranda, it appeared not to be a part of the script as producers were seen rushing to the actress’s side.
Not all fans shared their enthusiasm about the popular film’s sequel, 18 years after the original hit the big screen.
Many critics complained on social media that nothing would never top the first film, anticipating the sequel would be a flop.
Others wondered if it was necessary to revive an old storyline instead of creating an entirely new version of the beloved film.
ANNE’S PREDICTIONS
Anne expressed similar thoughts last March when discussing the possibility of a sequel.
“I don’t think a continuation of that story is probably ever gonna happen,” the Oscar winner told E! News.
“The reason that movie felt so special was that we were a team and we did that work, but really it’s the love that everybody pours to it.”
Despite her initial hesitation, Anne hinted at where the story could go if a second film ever materialized.
“I think Andy is in Paris and I think that she is writing for a wonderful French women’s magazine,” the Idea of You star predicted.
“I think – I think she’s a staff writer and she speaks French fluently. And I don’t think she’s married, but she might have a child or two. I think she’s pretty fab.”
The Devil Wears Prada 2 is scheduled for a release in May 2026.
