ERIN Andrews issued a public apology to Baker Mayfield on her podcast after an awkward NFL moment earlier this year.
Fox reporter Erin Andrews interviewed Baker Mayfield, 30, again last week, following the exchange.

Andrews redeemed herself last week with another interview[/caption]
She redeemed herself this time.
She originally spoke to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB back in January ahead of their Week 18 clash with the New Orleans Saints.
Afterwards, Andrews went on her podcast, Calm Down with Erin and Charissa [Thompson], to apologize to Mayfield.
She explained that the night before the must-win game, she had a breakout on her face.
Soon after, Andrews apologized, “Baker Mayfield, this is a public apology to you. I gotta stop. Enough is enough,”
“Night before I leave to go to Tampa, do the sit down with Baker Mayfield, do the week 18 game, I’m going through my stuff, packing it up.
“I’m like, huh, some retinol. I’m going to put it on, slathered it on, go to bed, get on a plane.”
“I’m like, ‘What just happened?’ Everything affects my skin. I think I’m trying to be preventative. Instead, I create an entire situation.
“I’m sitting down with Baker, already talked to you. Left side is swollen, got a big one [gestures in the direction of her face], already got it injected today. Great.
“Trying to, you know, like do s*** with my mouth. Try to smile so you can’t see it.
“Sunday post-game, I got f****** braille all over my face.
“Right here, I already got it injected. It’s like I wanted to take the whole side of my hair and just say, ‘Hey Baker, congratulations on clinching the division and being in the playoffs.”
Despite this encounter, Andrews seemingly has a soft spot for Mayfield.
On an episode of her podcast earlier this week, Andrews said she believes Mayfield embodies the image of America’s quarterback: a quality that was previously attributed to Tom Brady.

She said, “I’m sure I’ll get killed for this, but I was saying to my crew, Baker is America’s quarterback. Because he is.
“I feel like he’s such an easy guy to cheer for. With all due respect, Tom is 6’4”, looks like Captain America out there, almost like a prince from a Disney film. And I can say that because he’s a friend.
“Bake, he’s got the headband on, you know, he’s not 6’5. He’s smacking guys around, like, let’s go, let’s go, he’s getting fired up.
“He’s the guy you want to go have a beer with. And I want to do that with TB, because I get to do that with TB, but you know what I mean? I just feel like America roots for this guy.”
Playing for the Oklahoma Sooners, Mayfield became the first walk-on player to win the Heisman Trophy.
He was selected as the number one overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns, where he spent four years.
He flitted between teams and eventually found his way to the Buccs in 2023.
