QUESTIONS have been answered as ESPN make a final decision regarding Pardon the Interruption’s future.
Hosts Michael Wilbon, 66, and Tony Kornheiser, 77, are set to have their contracts expire soon.

Despite this, ESPN have made the decision to keep the show running for the foreseeable.
This comes as Wilbon and Kornheiser have agreed new deals to remain tied to the network.
It will remain on-air as part of a rejigged ESPN schedule for the 2025 NFL season.
Monday Night Football will also be broadcast weekly on the network until the end of February.
This follows the cancellation of lead-in show Around the Horn following the 2024 campaign.
Concerns had been raised that Pardon the Interruption could be next on the chopping block.
Wilbon and Kornheiser’s deals had ran out in August 2025, but they have now signed new multi-year contracts.
The pair launched the show in 2001 and have hosted Pardon the Interruption ever since.
Both Wilbon and Kornheiser were working together at the Washington Post when they decided to branch out into television.
Pardon the Interruption debuted for ESPN on October 22, 2001.
Tony Reali, 47, also appeared alongside the co-hosts until 2014.
It has proved immensely successful, with more than a million viewers tuning in daily.
This makes Pardon the Interruption the most-watched daily show on ESPN.
In addition, the show has won three Sports Emmy Awards for Outstanding Studio Show, with the most recent coming in 2019.

They will remain on-screen together until at least 2028.
This news means that Pardon the Interruption will celebrate its 25th anniversary next year.
In addition, Wilbon and Kornheiser will continue with their 3:00 PM ET daily slot on SportsCenter.
Wilbon will also continue his association with ESPN’s NBA coverage.
