ESPN star shares wild Kansas City Chiefs conspiracy theory after disastrous 0-2 start to 2025 NFL season

AN ESPN analyst has shared his conspiracy theory as the Kansas City Chiefs look to end their losing streak.

The Kansas City Chiefs remain winless as the 2025 NFL season enters its third week.

New York-based ESPN star Don La Greca, 57, claims that this will come to an end this weekend.

He has claimed on his ESPN Radio New York show that the NFL will not allow the Chiefs to lose a third straight game.

The Chiefs are set to face the New York Giants at the MetLife Stadium on Sunday.

NFL is not going to allow the Chiefs to start 0-3. There’s too much on the line, I’m sorry,” La Greca said. “Call me a conspiracy theorist. ESPN can fire me.”

“The NFL is not going to allow the Kansas City Chiefs to lose that game on national television and be 0-3. What are you gonna do?”

Travis Kelce, 35, has gathered an international audience with his relationship with pop megastar Taylor Swift, 35.

Tight end Kelce made a costly error during the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LIX rematch against the Philadelphia Eagles.

He dropped a potential touchdown pass during the fourth quarter as the Eagles claimed a 20-17 win.

La Greca believes that this is contributing towards a situation where the NFL may be forced to intervene.

“[Kelce and Swift] are getting married later. They’re engaged,” La Greca added. “The league just won’t allow it. Honestly, people, rise up, speak our minds here.”

Their relationship has been key to opening the NFL to new audiences, particularly young women.

While this has been largely a good thing for the sport, the ESPN star worries that the NFL may compromise the league.

La Greca has suggested that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, 66, may directly intervene.

He has posited the idea that Goodell could take to the field to ensure a victory for the Chiefs.

“I’m telling you, there’s gonna be at least three calls where we’re going to be like, how did that happen?” La Greca continued.

Both sides enter the game winless and at the bottom of their divisions.

The Chiefs have fallen within one score of both their opponents as they opened their season in Brazil with a 21-26 loss versus the Los Angles Chargers.

Giants quarterback Russell Wilson, 36, has faced calls to be dropped after their dismal start to the campaign.

Wilson’s Giants have suffered defeats against the Washington Commanders and Dallas Cowboys.

Regardless of La Greca’s conspiracy theory, four-time Super Bowl champions, the Chiefs, will be desperate to turn their season around.
