FORMER baseball player Daniel Serafini discovered the verdict in his murder trial this week.
Serafini, 51, played for six Major League Baseball teams between 1996 and 2007.

In 2021 he was accused of breaking into his in-laws’ home in Lake Tahoe and murdering his father-in-law.
The ex-baseball player was also alleged to have tried to murder his mother-in-law.
He has been on trial in Auburn, Nevada and the jury made their decision Monday.
And Serafini was found guilty of first-degree murder in the death of Gary Spohr, 70.
He was also charged with attempted murder and burglary of Wendy Wood, 69, CBS News reported.
According to KCRA, he was guilty of discharging a firearm to cause great bodily injury.
But the jury announced that he was not guilty of child endangerment as his kids were not home at the time of the shooting.
Serafini had zero expression is his face as the verdict was announced.
Prosecutors argued that Serafini was in desperate need of money after a failed bar venture.
He also went through a tough divorce.
They also claimed he hated his wealthy in-laws and told people that he wanted them dead.
The former baseball player is said to have entered the property in 2021.
He is alleged to have known that his in-laws were out spending time with his wife and children.
Serafini allegedly waited for his wife and children to return to their home in Reno, Nevada.
And he opened fire when his in-laws were watching TV just before 9 am, the jury heard.
Spohr died after the shooting while a injured Wood dialed 999.
She was airlifted to hospital and spent a month in intensive care but died in 2023 by suicide.
Serafini’s MLB debut was with the Twins in 1996.
He also played for the Chicago Cubs, San Diego Padres, Pittsburgh Pirates and Cincinnati Reds.
His last MLB team was the Colorado Rockies in 2007.
