COSTCO is set to open seven new warehouses in the US and in neighboring countries.
All of those stores are set to open next month, as Costco pushes onwards towards its bold expansion targets.

Before the end of 2025, Costco plans to open 27 new warehouses, according to CEO Ron Vachris.
This would bring its total global store count to 914 by the end of fiscal 2025.
Vachris confirmed: “For this fiscal year, we expect to open 27 new warehouses, including three relocations for a total of 24 net new buildings.”
As part of that, seven Costco locations are set tom open up in August, with four in the US, two in Canada and one in Mexico.
The opening dates are:
- Rimouski, Quebec (opening Aug. 5)
- The Villages, Florida (opening Aug. 6)
- North Guadalajara, Mexico (opening Aug. 7)
- Richland, Washington (opening Aug. 8)
- Allen, Texas (opening date TBA)
- East Newmarket, Ontario, Canada (TBA)
- Spring Valley, Nevada (TBA)
For the rest of the year, Costco aims to launch an additional 10 locations in the fourth quarter.
Among those Costco’s second warehouse in Sweden, its 20th in South Korea, Vachris said.
It will also include Costco‘s 110th store in Canada.
This year has marked a notable global expansion for Costco, with new stores “including a relocation in Melbourne, Australia, our 37th warehouse in Japan and seven net new U.S. locations”, Vachris noted.
This has happened since Costco held its first earnings call of the year on March 6.
The warehouse retailer hasn’t stopped focusing on the US, however, with several stores having opened this year already.
These can be found in places like Brentwood, California, Sharon, Massachusetts, Prosper, Texas and Stuart Florida.

Costco has also been making its current stores more accessible for customers.

For example, a few months ago Costco extended its gas station hours in North America, which has led to increased revenue.
In April, Costco had two of its highest gallon weeks, in which it sold the most gas it ever had in the US.
Vachris attributed this to a “combination of expanded gas station hours, new gas station openings and lower prices at the pump.”
Costco is also in the midst of several new technology pilot programs that focus on improving checkout times for customers.
The CEO has claimed that the tech has “been extremely successful in moving people through the lines, expediting the transactions.”
Greater flexibility for shoppers has similarly been felt in the arrivals of more payment options.
Since May, shoppers at Costco now have the option to pay for larger purchases with buy now, pay later.
Costco has partnered with Affirm, and it applies to purchases made between $500 and $17,000 on the website.
