This season opener is then followed by a special NFL game in Sao Paulo, Brazil, as the Kansas City Chiefs face the Los Angeles Chargers on Friday.
Fans will be able to tune into the action without cable throughout the year.
Many games are usually shown on local TV channels.
However, fans will be able to bypass this if they sign up for a selection of streaming services.
Platforms such as Prime Video, Peacock, ESPN+, Paramount+ and Netflix will be broadcasting games throughout the season.
Fans could also sign up to NFL+ which will let them watch every out-of-market game.
This will include local and primetime games throughout the NFL season.
However, they will have to predominantly be watched on the phone, but some will be on TV.
Games that are broadcast nationally typically feature on the broadcasters like ESPN, NBC, CBS, Fox, ABC and the NFL Network.
But Amazon Prime Video will have a select number of Thursday night games as well as some on Peacock.
Games that are on CBS will also be streamed live on Paramount+ and those Monday Night games on either ESPN or ABC will be on ESPN+.
The Fubo Sports package from Fubo will boast a huge amount of access to the NFL this season.
It includes local broadcasts that are operated by ABC, CBS and Fox.
It will also have access to networks such as ACC Network, Big 10 Network, CBS Sports Network, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNews, ESPNU, Fox News, FS1, FS2, Fubo Sports Network, ION, NFL Network, SEC Network and Tennis Channel.
