A FASTFOOD chain is closing every single one of its locations for the day.
Customers of Chicken N Pickle will today find themselves unable to be served from any of the stores around the country.

All 2,000 employees will be swapping the fast-food restaurants for charity centres
They will be volunteering at local food banks, animal shelters, clean-up events, youth programs and more.
This is in honour of the sixth annual “Our Hearts Are Local Day”.
It’s a company-wide tradition which aims to give back to communities.
And the chain says it’s an integral part of its mission.
President of Chicken N Pickle Kelli Alldredge said: “This is one of the most meaningful days of the year for us.
“Our Hearts Are Local Day is about rolling up our sleeves, getting out into the neighborhoods we serve, and living our values.
“Our teams love it, and we’re proud of the impact we’ve made alongside so many incredible non-profit partners over the past eight years.”
The programme has delivered thousands of volunteer hours across multiple cities since it was birthed.
It reinforces Chicken N Pickle’s belief that “businesses thrive when their communities do too”.
Different charitable causes in each city will benefit from today’s scheme.
In North Kansas City, to take on example, seven places will get volunteer hours: Happy Bottoms, New House, Parkville Animal Shelter, The Sewing Labs, Veterans Community Project and The Children’s Place.
The restaurant claims that since opening in 2017 it has supported thousands of local charities.
It also says it has raised more than $5 million for non-profits.
In 2024 alone, Chicken N Pickle partnered with almost 9,000 charities, hosted more than 8,800 fundraisers and raised more than $1.1 million for local communities.
But everything will be back to business as usual on Wednesday.
A similar thing happened with another fast-food chain yesterday.
Raising Cane’s is closing all of its locations for 24 hours in recognition of Labor Day, a celebration of the US workforce.
Raising Cane’s follows the federal holiday calendar, meaning that every time there is one, all operations will cease.
In a statement to USA Today, the chain confirms that this was the case for Labor Day this year.
