AMERICANS are in line to get a reward from a settlement involving a popular variety chain.
The money is being handed out by Family Dollar to settle claims that its coffee products were deceptively marketed.

Family Dollar is a discount retailer that mainly sells groceries, household supplies and personal care products.
The settlement benefits people who bought any Family Dollar proprietary brand ground coffee products – including Chestnut Hill coffee products – between January 1, 2019, and April 15, 2025.
Coffee packages were falsely advertised as able to brew more cups of coffee than they actually could, according to the lawsuit.
Family Dollar has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay an undisclosed sum to settle the false advertising class action lawsuit.
Each claimant will receive a coffee product voucher for one 9.6-ounce container of Chestnut Hill ground coffee.
No proof of purchase is required.
The value of each voucher may be reduced if a large number of claims are filed.
To receive the benefits, class members must submit a valid claim form by July 21, 2025.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is July 14, 2025.
The final approval hearing for the settlement will take place on July 21, 2025.
Family Dollar is required to work with its manufacturer to change the labelling on its coffee products, as per the settlement’s terms.
The company has been advised to either remove the claims about how many cups can be brewed per package or only mention verified testing results from a third-party laboratory.
Meanwhile, people who currently have or used to have a FuboTV account can file a claim for a share of a $3.4 million settlement.
Fubo violated the federal Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA) by sharing user data with third parties, like Facebook and Google, according to the lawsuit.
The settlement benefits people who had a FuboTV account or used someone else’s FuboTV account in the US at any time before May 29, 2025.
The deadline to file a claim is September 12, 2025.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is August 28, 2025.
The final approval hearing for the settlement is October 6, 2025.
